The following day found Amara ensconced in the familiar surroundings of Lark Cafe, a quaint haven where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee enveloped her senses. Seated at a corner table with Nathan and Danny, she mechanically stirred her latte, the rhythmic clinking of the spoon serving as a backdrop to her tumultuous thoughts.

Despite the lively chatter around her, Amara's mind echoed with the events of the previous night—the bonfire, the warmth of the flames, and the unsettling emotions that danced in tandem with the shadows. Isaac and Grace's laughter, their shared moments, and the unmistakable squeeze in her chest lingered as unwelcome companions in her thoughts.

As Nathan and Danny animatedly discussed their plans for the weekend, Amara found herself drifting into an internal monologue, dissecting the complexities of her feelings. The comforting ambiance of Lark Cafe, with its eclectic decor and the gentle hum of conversation, provided a deceptive tranquility that contrasted with the tempest within her.

Her latte sat untouched as she absentmindedly traced patterns on the tabletop. The steam rising from the cup seemed to mimic the wisps of confusion that enveloped her mind. Amara couldn't escape the ceaseless replay of Isaac and Grace's moments by the bonfire, each scene etched into her thoughts with crystalline clarity.

"Amara!" she jolted from her thoughts, her eyes meeting Nathan's and Danny's concerned gazes. "Are you okay?"

She nodded and managed a reassuring smile. "Yeah, don't worry." Her gaze lingered on her cup for a moment. "Actually, I have this friend who needs advice, but I don't know how to help her."

Danny and Nathan exchanged knowing smiles. "Sure," Danny encouraged.

"So," Amara started, choosing her words carefully, "she met this guy. At first, she didn't really like him—heck, she hated his guts, and they're always at each other's throats. But then she saw him hugging a girl, and she didn't really like it. She doesn't know why."
