"Remind me again why we moved here," I asked my mom as we entered the boxes into our new home.

"It's really important honey. It's a family project. You know what I mean," she says putting the silverware box in the kitchen.

"Wait, so there are actually supernatural creatures in this town?" I asked walking next to her.

"Yes. Now keep it on the down low. We can't have our neighbors think we're crazy on the first day," she says grabbing the box of bathroom essentials. I grab my box of school supplies and walk inside the house.

Moving here from New Orleans was a struggle. Not only was it the first time I was on a plane, but it was the first time I realized that I really hate moving. Don't get me wrong, I'm your typical teenage girl who loves to re-decorate her room. But the packing and making sure everything was in the correct box, was my challenge. Plus, I lived in one house my entire life until this moment. It was a new experience that I wasn't so excited about.

"Danielle! Come help me with the steaks!" I hear my father call me.

"Coming!" I say running to him. I quickly grab a box full of weapons and take them inside.

"Where do you want me to set them?" I ask.

"Just put them next to stairs. I need to set them up in different locations," he explains.

"Danielle! Mason! Start picking which room you want," I hear my mother yell. I quickly run upstairs and hear my brother behind me. I look through all the rooms and pick the one that had a view of the front yard. Next to the window was a bench that I could sit on. The closet space was tremendous. Just enough for my stuff. The room wasn't too small, nor too big.

"Mason I call this one!" I yell out my door.

"That's fine with me, cause I got the one next to you," he says peeking his head out of the room.

"Just like the old house," I say laughing.

"I'm going to go and grab my things. You should do the same," he says walking past me. I huff and walk downstairs. I grab my box full of my shirts and slowly walk upstairs. As I open my box, I realize that I need hangers. This is going to be one long day.

"All set," my father says wiping the sweat from his forehead. He had been putting my desk, bed and drawers together for about 2-3 hours.

"Thanks dad. Love you," I say giving him a kiss on the cheek. He smiles at me and leaves my room. I look at my room and sigh. So many boxes to open, but such little effort. Come on Danielle, you need to do it. Right after you get yourself a cup of water.

I head downstairs and see my mom is putting everything in its place.

"Mom pass me a cup please," I ask her. She hands me a cup and I walk to the fridge. Just as I was about to pour some water into my cup, the bell rings.

"No worries mom, I got it," I say. I set down my cup on the counter and walk towards the door. I open the door to find a young lady. She has ombré hair like mine, but hers is a more lighter brown. In her hands are brownies I assume she made.

"Hi, I saw you guys moving in. I'm Gemma, I live next door. Just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood," she says handing me the brownies. Her accent was different. She was British.

"Thank you so much. Which neighbor are you?"

"I live on the right. It's me, my brother, and my mom."
