It was New Year Day and the buzz of excitement filled the air as people around the world prepared to ring in the new year. In a small town, the residents gathered at the town square for a festive celebration. Hyunjin and Felix walked down the road as Felix clinged into Hyunjin's arm and spoke
Felix: Hey Hyunjin, What do you think about baking a cake and brownies for the new years together?
Hyunjin: Sure that sounds wonderful babe
Hyunjin replied to Felix and kissed the top of his head and Felix smilling happily
Hyunjin and Felix came to a bake shop and they were on a mission to make the perfect cake. They strolled through the aisles of the grocery store, hand in hand.
Felix: We need to find the perfect ingredients for our New Year's cake and brownies
Felix said with his eyes sparkling with excitement. Hyunjin chuckled, his laughter light and musical.
Felix: I can't wait to see the look on everyone's faces when they taste our delicious treats
Felix said while squeezing Hyunjin's hand. As they perused the shelves, Felix's eyes lit up as he spotted a display of fresh strawberries.
Felix: We definitely need these for the cake
he exclaimed and Hyunjin hummed in agreement, a soft, contented sound.
Hyunjin: And we can use the chocolate chips for the brownies
he suggested, reaching for a bag of the sweet morsels and with that they continued getting more ingredients, With their arms full of ingredients, they made their way to the checkout counter, laughing and chatting
They got home and started to bake more or less its a food fight because of the mess in the kitchen the flour is everywhere the kitchen counter even in there faces, Hyunjin took some of the frosting in his hand and put it on Felix face they ran around giving each other frosting in their faces, After a while they finally got the cake in the oven with Felix putting it in but Felix winces as he pulls his burnt hand away from the oven
Felix: Ouch! That's hot
Hyunjin rushes to his side
Hyunjin: Let me see. We need to put some ointment on it be careful next time
Felix grimaces in pain
Felix: I think I saw the ointment in the bathroom
Felix said while still enduring the pain, Hyunjin nods and heads to the bathroom, but furrows his brows when he realizes there's no ointment
Hyunjin: Where did it go? I think we're all out
Felix: Hurry, Hyunjin!
Hyunjin dashes out to buy ointment
Hyunjin: I'll be right back, don't do anything!
Felix nods and focuses on his hand he heard the door close and he tries to think of something else to not feel the pain.
On the other hand Hyunjin came to every Pharmacy as to no luck because of the coming new year everything is closed when he saw one just closing he ran and shouted
Hyunjin: Ma'am! Ma'am wait!
He stood infront of the woman and he spoke
Hyunjin: Can I get some ointment please I just need because my partner got burnt
Woman: Oh sure sugar no worries, I'll get it to you one moment
Hyunjin bowed to the woman thanking her and she goes in the Pharmacy and got the ointment and gave it to Hyunjin
Hyunjin: Thank you very much ma'am, here is for the ointment
Woman: No sweety keep take it as a gift
Hyunjin bowed again and ran to there house
With Felix, he still tries to think of something else when suddenly he smells something burning he thought of what it could be when he remembered.
Felix: The cake!
Felix stood up and panic rises in his voice as he shouts
Felix: Hyunjin, the cake is burning!
As he remembered that Hyunjin was gone Felix tried to open the oven but it was to hot suddenly a loud explosion rocks the house with Felix as he got flung away and knocked out
As the clock struck midnight, fireworks lit up the sky and cheers filled the air. Hyunjin was at the house saw the ranging fire Hyunjin drops the ointment, his heart pounding wildly in his chest
Hyunjin: Felix! No!
Felix's terrified scream cuts through the air
Felix: Hyunjin, help!
Felix shouts as he runs out of breath because of the smoke the flames ravage the house, and as the fire swells, Felix's scream is silenced by the deafening explosion and the crackling of the fire. Hyunjin falls to his knees, tears streaming down his face, Hyunjin screams on top of his lungs
Time Skip
It's been a year since the day and Hyunjin mourned everyday he could only cry and drink, as of now Hyunjin sat in front of the flickering fireplace, staring at the dancing flames.
Hyunjin: I miss you, Felix
he whispered as a tear drop fell to the fire place
Felix: Sigh
Felix said, appearing as a ghostly figure in the corner of the room
Felix: I miss you too, Hyunjin
Hyunjin's eyes widened as he saw Felix.
Hyunjin: Felix, is that really you?
Felix: I can't bear to see you in such pain, Hyunjin. It breaks my heart
Tears welled up in Hyunjin's eyes.
Hyunjin: I can't go on without you, Felix. Every moment feels like agony
Felix floated closer to Hyunjin and reached out to touch his cheek.
Felix: I have an idea, my love. There's a way we can be together again
Hyunjin: Tell me, Felix. I'll do anything to be with you
Felix smiled sadly.
Felix: We can become one with the stars. If we let go of our earthly ties, we can be together in the cosmos for eternity
Hyunjin: How do we do it?
Felix: We must embrace the flames, Hyunjin. Our spirits will rise and join the universe
A sense of peace washed over Hyunjin as he gazed at the fire. Without hesitation, he stepped into the flames, feeling the heat consume him. His essence merged with the fire, his spirit intertwining with Felix's in the endless expanse of the night sky.
