At the heart of this age-old rivalry were two mages, Kim Seungmin of the Shadow Serpents and Yang Jeongin of the Phoenix Blades.

One fateful day, The two guilds found out about a magical artifact found at the forbidden forest, that could possible end their clan and they saw this as a threat, so Seungmin and Jeongin were tasked to retrieving the artifact for their respective guilds.
As they went to the the Forbidden Forest, The forest loomed ahead, its twisted trees casting shadows that seemed to dance with malice. As the two guilds came to the spot where the artifact was found, Seungmin and Jeongin, stood at the forest's edge, eyeing each other with suspicion.
Jeongin: This artifact is too powerful to fall into the hands of your guild
Seungmin: And why it should be yours then?
Jeongin: Yes we are powerful and mighty-
Seungmin: You know you talk a lot, I know how to make your mouth shut
Jeongin: How dare you, As I said this artifact belongs with us and not the weak shadows
Seungmin: you've always underestimated the strength of shadows. This artifact belongs with the Shadow Serpents!
With a reluctant nod, they ventured more into the ominous forest, their magic pulsating in the charged air. As they journeyed deeper, the forest seemed to come alive, throwing illusions and magical creatures at them. Seungmin's illusions danced with the shadows, while Jeongin's flames roared against the forest's tricks.
Seungmin: I think this is a test, Jeongin, Can your flames burn through deception?
Jeongin: And can your shadows withstand the heat of my flames?
The two guilds was forced to work together, In the midst of a particularly challenging illusion, Seungmin stumbled, and Jeongin caught his arm. For a moment, their eyes locked, a flicker of something unfamiliar passing between them.

Jeongin sat beside Seungmin
Seungmin: I never thought I'd find myself working alongside with you
Jeongin: And I never imagined teaming up with a Nightshade. Fate has a strange sense of humor
In the quiet moments that followed, Seungmin spoke
Seungmin: You know why the two guilds doesn't get along with each other?
Jeongin: Actually no, I was just told as a kid to never question things about the guilds
Seungmin: Well my father told me, Back then our guilds grow together but one day a feast happened and a sudden clash of swords were thrown they ended up killing each other, others said the fight started with an argument but no one really knows what happened
Jeongin: That's quite a mysterious and tragic history. It's strange how events like that can shape the relationships between guilds. Have there been any attempts to reconcile or understand each other's perspectives since then?
Seungmin: As I know none since then they've been competing with each other
