[043] Far

While standing in front of the Sanctuary, Fiona thought about how far she had come during the apocalypse.

She started in a camp in Atlanta, and after the camp in Atlanta, she was on the move for a very long time. She survived with only her two sisters and herself. Fiona used to think it was better that way.

Then, she found a prison. The prison led her to her old group and she began her new adventure with the bad luck group. The prison ended up falling because an asshole was mad they had stuff better than he did and they had to leave.

The terminus era started and that's when Fiona started to realize who she was. And it wasn't a good person at all. When they found the church, they stayed for a while until Mr. Useless AKA Eugene lied about a cure so they decided to keep moving.

They went back on the road for God knows how long after the church. They weren't in a good spot during the road but they stayed together and they stayed a family.

Aaron is a wonderful human being and a wonderful man and Fiona is so glad she met him. Aaron is the nicest person you could ever meet, and nowadays it's pretty rare to meet a nice guy like Aaron.

Aaron introduced them to Alexandria and the group brought bad luck to it and it almost fell a bunch of times, but they got it back together. The walkers were one thing but Jesus was another.

The Hilltop was a different story. Gregory is the only reason Fiona hates the Hilltop and she's glad Maggie's taking it over.

Then, here she was now. Fighting with an ex-ping-pong couch, Negan Smith. Negan was a good man. Fiona loved him as a family. Same with Lucille. Fiona didn't know about their relationship problems until Lucille told her all about them.

But that's beside the point.

Fiona thinks Negan has turned out the way he is now because Lucille is dead. If Lucille was alive, Fiona thought maybe, just maybe he'd be way better than he was now. Because Fiona knew for a damn fact Lucille would never let Negan turn into this monster he was now.

She would have probably changed Fiona as well. Fiona had a strong bond with Lucille and Negan. They were her family. Her best friends. Until the world went to shit the day Fiona went on vacation and she lost them. Forever.

Because the man standing outside the Sanctuary right now was not Negan Smith. She didn't believe it was. He was a different man in Negan's body.

Negan and Rick had been talking for however long it's been and Fiona was getting impatient. She needed him to be gone, forever.

"You're gonna make me count." Rick had his eyebrows scrunched while Fiona had her gun pointed at Negan's feet. "Okay. Okay. I'm counting. Ten! Nine! Eight! Seven!" Rick gave Fiona a look so when Rick cocked his gun, Fiona started to shoot at Negan's feet while everyone else shot at the sanctuary.

Negan tried running inside the Sanctuary but Fiona shot in front of his feet so he couldn't move. That was until she ran out of ammo, Negan started to run wherever he went.

Fiona grabbed more ammo and started to shoot at the windows, walls, doors, whatever she could find.

"Now!" Maggie shouts causing everyone to immediately start running to their cars. Fiona ran inside the car with Oliver and Mariam, jumping into the front seat and honking her horn in sync with Maggie.

Fiona for out of the car and told Mariam to drive away if she didn't come back. Fiona jumped out of the car and saw Rick shooting at Negan Fiona pulled out her handgun and went around Rick, to see Negan better.

She forgot about the explosion so Fiona hid her body behind a barrier and the explosives went off. The explosion was huge so Fiona took a second to process everything that was happening before getting up and seeing Negan gone from his spot.

"Shit," Fiona shouts, looking at Rick and seeing him shooting at a different spot so Fiona immediately runs over.

Fiona sees Negan so she walks in front of him and clicks her gun off safety causing Negan to open his eyes and look at her.

"Really, Fiona?" Negan pants, holding his shot leg that Fiona must have accidentally shot.

"Yeah, really. You shouldn't have killed them." Fiona glares, her gun pointed at Negan's head while she makes eye contact with him.

"Who did I kill, Fiona?" Negan asks. He knew who he killed. He just wanted to hear her say it before he was dead.

"You know who." Fiona didn't wanna say their names. Not because she didn't want to, but because she couldn't.

The last time she said Glenn's name was when she last talked to him which happened to be four days before the lineup. The last time she said Abraham's name was when she was talking to him about Rosita. The last time she said Sasha's name, was when Sasha was going into the Sanctuary.

"I hate you." Fiona admits as if it wasn't obvious enough, "I will never forgive you for what you've done."

"Tell me how many people you've killed." Negan tried to prove a point.

"I've killed the people who deserved it. I killed them quickly so they didn't suffer as much. You hit their heads with a bat and made them suffer. You made them see the horror on their family's faces before they brutally went." Fiona's voice cracked at some words. "So now it's your turn, you get to get killed by someone who knows you deserve it."

Fiona's gun was already raised and as her finger started to travel to the trigger, her name was yelled, "Fiona, no! We have to go!" It was Rick.

He continued to beg for Fiona not to kill him, she wanted to kill him so bad. But instead, she just shot his leg and ran away to wherever she needed to go.

She regretted not killing him already. She jumped into the car with Rick and they quickly drove away.

"What were you doing?" Rick asks, one hand on the wheel while he looks between Fiona and the road.

"What needed to be done." Fiona says, "I didn't kill him, by the way. I shot his leg. Since you wanna be the one to kill him so bad, I guess you could do it."

Fiona didn't like giving Rick the kill. But, since he was the leader, Fiona gave it to him. She knew Glenn longer than anyone in the group. She found him and brought him to the camp. She wanted to kill Negan for Glenn. But that would never happen.
