Jun Pyo drove up to his building, swinging into the front area. His driver sat next to him in the passenger seat holding on to the interior for dear life. With wide eyes he stared at his boss, and Jun Pyo just smiled at the frightened man.
"See, I told you we would get here in time." CEO Goo Jun Pyo said, stepping out of the drivers seat. The frantic driver stumbled out on wobbly legs as he bowed to his boss.
"Ri-Right as always President Goo." Catching the keys that he threw at him. Jun Pyo walked into his hotel with a smirk on his face. Making it to his private elevator, he smiled as he caught his assistant standing holding a folder for him and his coffee.
"You're late." Jan Di said as she handed him his morning coffee. Lifting his arm up he checked his watch. Shoving it in front of her face he smirked at her.
"I'm right on time. Eight o'clock on the dot." Jun Pyo took a sip as he smiled at Jan Di. The ride in the elevator was a tad bit slow, but he preferred it that way. Leaning against the back of the elevator wall, he admired his secretary. Geum Jan Di, a women who always knew how to keep him in line when he needed it. It was only fitting that she would work for him to keep him in line in business and in personal matters. Today he admired the blue knee length skin tight dress she wore, with a bracelet that he got her christmas two years ago. She would have returned it if he didn't already force her to take it or get fired. Jan Di was busy typing something into her tablet as she didn't notice him staring. Suddenly she lifted her head up and seemed to put on a fake smile that he caught right away.
"Your mother called me to remind you that you should send flowers to the girl you went out with two nights ago." Jun Pyo knitted his eyebrows together.
"The blind date that my mother tried to get me to go on, the one I told her I went to, but in reality I sent Woo Bin instead." Jan Di huffed at Jun Pyo.
"Your mother already things I'm a horrible influence, ever since high school, can you please, tell me the reason you didn't go?" Jan Di, slide the tablet back into her purse as she crossed her arms in frustration. Just then the doors to the elevators opened and Jun Pyo walked out with a sad smile on his lips.
"Jun Pyo!" Jan Di yelled as she exited the elevator falling him.
"Because I don't want to waste my time with some girl, I know I already don't want, when I already know who I want now." He said, turning to look her in the eyes. Jan Di stood there staring at him as the both connected eyes. A cough rang out through the office as Jun Pyo spun around on his heels to see Yoon Ji Hoo standing there with a bottle of wine.
"I hope I'm not interrupting mom and dad fighting again, but I brought the wine you wanted."
"I hate it when you call us that." Jan Di said walking over and taking the wine. "President Goo, I will be in shortly with papers for you to sign." She turned on her heels and walked over to her desk. Jun Pyo went in his office with Ji Hoo following behind. Closing the door, Jun Pyo flopped down on the couch, with Ji Hoo standing looking at a pot that So Yi Jung had made for Jun Pyo's first hotel opening.
"What really brings you here?" Jun Pyo asked as he sat up looking at his best friend.
"I'm heading to New York today to finalize an apartment in Manhattan and wanted to know what you wanted me to bring back for you, so that in return, you would give it to Jan Di as a present in hopes that she would fall madly in love with you and both of you could live happily ever after."
"Sarcasm is not welcomed at the moment." Jun Pyo groaned as he went over to his desk.
An hour after Ji Hoo left, Jan Di had walked into find her boss unable to do anything right.
"Goo Jun Pyo, sign the damn papers!" Jan Di yelled.
"If I do you'll leave my office." He said. Jan Di rolled her eyes at her boss.
"Well someone has to file the paperwork or do you not want to open a new expansion in New York?" Jan Di said with a whine of annoyance.
"I do its just...I like it when you come into my office." Jun Pyo placed his hand on top of Jan Di's. Pausing for a couple of seconds and then with a sad smile removed her hand from his touch.
"Mr. Goo, you know I hate it when you tease me like this." Jan Di placed the paper down in front and walked out of his office passing a slightly smirking Yi Jung.
"She looks pissed. What did you do now?" He asked.
"Why do you assume I had done something?" Jun Pyo said with a heavy sigh. He quickly picked up a pen, forced his usual smile of confidence back on his face, and signed the paper.
"Why do you tease her?" Yi Jung asked as he took a seat in front of his friend.
"Because she's cute when she is frustrated." Jun Pyo said smiling a different kind of smile his friend hasn't seen before.
"Okay new question, why did you call me down?" Yi Jung asked leaning back in the chair.
"I need you to go over minor details with our in-house party planner. She's in our biggest ballroom making sure your art is safe and secure."
"Okay, anything else?"
"Your usual hotel room with the king bed is reserved. Here is your key." Jun Pyo handed him his key. "And also please don't sleep with this one. She's Jan Di's best friend."
"I make no promises when it comes to sex." Yi Jung said with a smirk.
"Well she's not really your type anyway."
"Okay now it's like you're challenging me."
"Yah! Go before I kick you out." Jun Pyo yelled as he sat down. With a wave of his hand he left the room. Waving to Jan Do as she sat at her desk typing away.
So Yi Jung entered the ballroom, but stopped shortly at the door. He watched as a girl in a black pencil skirt and a pink blazer run after a mover in heels. A clipboard pinned to her chest. Her legs seemed long even though half of them were covered, and her hair framed her unique face. She wasn't the most beautiful thing he had seen, but she was certainly not the most disturbing.
"You have to make sure the pot is in the middle of the case!" Ga Eul yelled at a mover. Seemingly he took that as a cue to enter.
"Its nice to know that some people care about my art." Yi Jung said walking over to the frantic women. Turning quickly around Ga Eul gripped the clipboard closer to her. With a bow Ga Eul introduced herself.
"Hello sir, you must be Mr. So. Mr. Goo told me you would be stopping by." Ga Eul said with a smile. Yi Jung realized that she could not be that much younger than him. Her smile made her look even more beautiful than before. The way her lips were sculpted to her face in a smile, was stunning, and Yi Jung had to take a second.
"So here is the guest list for tonight. Since it's not a dinner event and more of a social event with dancing, as well as the auction of some of your pieces we have enough tables and chairs for everyone but its not assigned seating." Handing her clipboard to him showing him the names. Skimming it through not really caring who was coming.
"Will you be there?" He asked flashing a well famous Casanova smirk. To his surprise Ga Eul just nodded her head as she pulled out her phone. Walking away from a slightly stunned potter. Quickly with a shake of his head he put back on his smirk and walked over to Ga Eul reaching for her hand. She paused looking at him as he placed the clipboard back in her hand. She suppressed the shudder that ran through her as his fingers grazed the back of her hand.
"So I hope to see you here later tonight. Maybe I'll even save a dance for you." Yi Jung said leaving her slightly flustered at his courage.
