All four original members sat in Jun Pyo's basement. Ga Eul curled on the loveseat with Jan Di. Woo Bin was sitting next to Ji Hoo. who was there to make sure he didn't kill the future father. Jun Pyo was twitching as he looked at Jan Di. Yi Jung was staring at Chu Ga Eul's stomach.
"Can someone please say something?" Ga Eul squeaked out as she made eye contact with Yi Jung. He quickly looked away. Woo Bin was the first to speak.
"We know how the So family is going to react. Either two things will happen, they will want to pay you to keep quiet or-"
"Marriage." Yi Jung finished for Woo Bin.
"I would never take money." Ga Eul sapt out quickly.
"Ga Eul's family will push for marriage as well." Jan Di put in, gripping Ga Eul's hand. Ga Eul started to tear up.
"Oh God! Jan Di, my parents! What are they going to do?"
"Before or after your father kills Yi Jung?"
"What?"
"Ga Eul's father is very protective over his daughter." Jan Di clarified.
"There is a third option that no one has mentioned." Ji Hoo spoke up. Ga Eul and Yi Jung both paused and looked at Ji Hoo.
"You can't be serious?" Woo Bin yelled standing up. His anger now directed towards the one who was trying to keep him at bay.
"No. The thought never crossed my mind for a second." Ga Eul said with a smile. Yi Jung hid the smile that came across his lips. The good girl that Ga Eul is, has really made him proud. She takes full responsibility without even hesitating.
"What about a secret marriage?" Jun Pyo spoke up. Everyone looked at the CEO. Surprise written on everyone's faces. Everyone remained calmed and unspoken as they waited for Jun pyo to elaborate on what he meant. "What I mean is that, you two can claim that both of you were head over heels in love, and get married. Us, your friends blinded by your passion thought it was a good idea and were your witnesses. IN your passion you became pregnant and after the children are born you can just claim that the supposed love marriage is no longer loving and get a divorce."
"So you want us to lie to our parents, and the world, saying that we are in love." Ga Eul stumbled out.
"That we didn't want to tell anyone of it, because we were afraid of what our families might do?"
"Yes."
"Thats actually, kind of smart." Jan Di said, looking at Jun Pyo.
"Yah! I do run a billion dollar company." Jun Pyo grunted as he sat back.
"So, we get married?" Ga Eul asked looking at Yi Jung. Standing up, he looked at Ga Eul's stomach once more before walking out of the room. Woo Bin followed him as he made his way to the stairs.
"Hey!"
"I need to think. I'll be in my studio. Please, just for tonight, let me think."
Yi Jung sat at his wheel, sculpting the body of the vase. His hands running up to the top, making it have a curve to it, at a small angle. The middle extended out as the base was steady. As he dipped his fingers into the curve of the top of the opening, he had a flashback to The Lost Night, a dip of his fingers into another curve. A deep velvety curve. Quickly Yi Jung removed his hands from the clay and turned off the wheel.
"Damn it!" He yelled. Throwing his work bandana on the ground.
"Mr. So?" A soft voice came the door of his studio. Turning around he came face to face with Ga Eul. A timid look in her eyes. "The door was open. Woo Bin Oppa dropped me off...I...Don't know why I'm here. I should go." She stammered turning towards the door.
"Wait!" Yi Jung said, as she stopped with her back turned to him. "Wait." He repeated. Both stood in silence as they looked at anything but each other. "Would you like some tea?" He asked, walking over to the sink to clean off his hands. As he gripped a glass in hands it slipped and broke in the sink. He let out a hiss as Ga Eul quickly made her way over.
"Mr. So, you're bleeding!" Quickly grabbing the nearest towel at the sink she grabbed his hand and pressed it down on his bleeding palm. Yi jung can't remember feeling her skin against his. Both had kept some sort of physical distantness since that night and both seemed to want to avoid any physical contact.
"I'm fine, it's just a scratch." He said low. Her hands didn't move from their position, and he somehow felt a little thrill run through him.
"I shouldn't have come." She said more to herself.
"I shouldn't have left like I did." Yi Jung said, placing his uncut hand on the counter to steady himself. The closeness of their bodies to each other was causing him to re-think his situation. She moved his hand to run under the water and his winced as she began to clean the wound.
"Your first aid kit?" She asked, as he looked at her. Their eyes connected and Yi Jung in that moment wanted to lean over and place his lips on hers. The soft curve of her lower lip, he wanted to feel her lips on his once more.
"Over in that cabinet." he instructed as she pulled away and went to grab a bandage for his hand. Walking back, she dried the hand and cleaned away any excess blood as well as put a big bandage over his palm.
"You were right, its just a scratch, but scratches can still get infected."
"Thank you Doctor Chu." Yi Jung said with a smile at her. Both sat in silence, the thought of tea forgotten as Yi Jung looked once more at the young woman.
"I will do whatever you want to do. But I will never take money and just go away. If you want me to disappear, I can."
"No. I don't want you to ever do that. This is a responsibility we both have to face. Its just." A smile started to break over his features. "Twins." He said. "I never thought I would be a father, let alone twins." His eyes gleam of pride as he looked at Ga Eul.
"Thats what Ji Hoo's grandfather said." Ga Eul said with a small smile.
"I mean, I'm going to be a father."
"I'm going to be a mother." Yi Jung turned to Ga Eul completely.
"I can not believe what I'm about to say, but I think Jun Pyo is right. We should get married. After the kids are born we can discuss the details further, but I want to be there for your pregnancy. I want to take care of you. They are your kids, but they are also mine."
"What are you saying?"
"Marry me."
