Fixing whats wrong!The Frayon insanity!

"Me?The great Anthrolus Fletcher?Retreat?You must be hoping too hard Frayon!"
Fletcher laughed boisterously,smiling spitefully.Melody raised her eyebrows.
"Fine!Suit yourself!"
Melody waved her hand,a twinkling music box echoed around the dark area.The fires sizzled away and numerous multicoloured shields surrounded the people.Melody turned and saw Akiya's arm raised in front of her.She smiled and turned back to Fletcher,
"Every villager here is under my protection.I'm ready to kick ass!"
Fletcher recoiled,hesitated which was rare.But he raised an arm and shouted,
"FORWARD MEN!SHOW HER WHAT WE'RE MADE OF!"

The villagers gasped as more soldiers ran forward,determined to catch her.But Melody simply waved the microphone,sending a ground shaking force towards them.They were upended and thrown every which way.Bullets were shot at her,but broke to itty bitty pieces as they were hit by another one of Akiya's impenetrable force fields.Fletcher swore loudly,running forward to finish Melody off himself.But he was quickly put in his place as he was surrounded by tall,monstrous green slime.Fletcher narrowed his eyes at Henry,
"You."
"Yup it's me.The one and only,I see you've aquatinted yourself with my dear mother and father.On my command,they'd suffocate you and we'd be rid of your selfish self centred ugly face.But Melody wants to kill you.So I'm letting you go."

The enormous green walls fell and shrank into smaller blobs,circling their son protectively.Henry glanced around,seeing Gabriel fighting but struggling from his gunshot wound.Henry's heart rose with hope,they'd survive.He yelped in a sudden panic as the same multicoloured shield circled around him like a spacious bubble.He looked around as it started to float up and up.His head shot up as he saw Akiya and Gabriel in the same bubble,except it didn't look like Akiya's power.It was Melody.

Melody clutched the microphone in her hand as she started to vocalise an almost angelic sound around the town.As her voice grew,silver staff bars grew just like the notes,but this was strangely different.The bars grew like rope,wrapping themselves rhythmically around Fletcher's transfixed body,he couldn't move,outsmarted and humbled by a teenager.His eyes had turned a pale milky white,his body swaying and almost falling over.

Melody's voice suddenly cut off as she hoisted the binds up,lifting up the other soldiers she had put to sleep.Skye peeked out from behind the tree he was hiding in,his eyes wide and glowing with amazement and admiration for Melody's voice and power.The bindings were hoisted and thrown away,far away as a loud flash bang ruptured and blew the soldiers,the military tank and Fletcher away.The shields were cracked and broken like glass,Akiya landed flawlessly on her feet with her sword clutched in her hand.

Henry landed but fell over,face down in the dirt.Using his flame like surfing waves of the ocean,Gabriel landed next to Henry,helping him up.Melody landed on the ground last,her appearance changing from her heroic self to a simple purple dress with a blue gingham skirt and black stockings.She smiled at her friends as she fell over,her eyes rolling into her sockets as she collapsed.Gabriel and Akiya turned to Henry,he sighed,
"Am I gunna have to play doctor again?Really?"

The next day was busy with the people gathering up their surviving resources and furniture.Akiya and Gabriel helped them with everything.Henry was stuck in a makeshift infirmary patching Melody up.His parents were moving the broken rubble,moving everything to a throw out pile.Henry sighed,his hands on his hips as Melody was passed out and properly healed up.He turned,looking outside to see Gabriel conjuring a few figures made out of flames,instructing them firmly on what to and what not to do and be careful about what they carry.He smiled sadly,turning to Melody,
"You just go about it don't you?"

Melody was up and happily helping everyone else as soon as she was up and settled.Henry had to call her in three times a day for a daily vaccine much to her disappointment.
"Ugh!Whyyy?"
Melody whined.Henry gently pressed the needle into her skin,not looking at her.
"So you don't collapse from a lack of iron.Your body keeps rejecting regular vitamins.It's quite strange."
As Melody bounded off to go look after some kids,Henry went to put some medication in her satchel.As he picked it up,a piece of paper flew out of the catch of the bag.Henry raised an eyebrow,Melody didn't care for important documents like that. . .

He bent over to picked it up and studied it carefully.As his eyes scanned the words,his suspicion grew to shock and then a horrified sick feeling in his stomach.

Melody Frayon,

I thank you sincerely for receiving my message,I researched and studied your test results for the 'abnormal' behaviour your called it?Me and Barbara have come to a conclusion since you last visit.We think your officially diagnosed with a (for now) small mental illness called Depression Psychosis.It means to lose a grip of reality or delusional depression.You might experience hallucinations or more.Swing by any time you need any more examinations.

Henry dropped the small piece of paper into her bag,he firmly decided not to approach her.All the Frayon's had a little something screwed loose.Would that explain her deranged behaviour before?The Frayon's insanity was a strictly down looked subject to just talk about.Henry remembered a story his Father had once told him,the story of the Frayon nutjob.A mentally ill man who had given in to his madness a very long time ago.What if the same thing happened to Melody,she was someone special to him.Henry didn't want to lose her.Not yet even.

He glanced at Melody taking turns to give the kids piggybacks.She turned and smiled at him,it looked tired and uneasy.He dismissed the subject and waved to her,
'Let her be happy,she works hard for our safety and eventual freedom.'
He thought reluctantly.Taking off his coat and hanging it on the chair,he walked over to his friends to join them.Akiya and Gabriel sat with them,laughing as the kids jumped Melody and held her down,
"We've taken down a future Goddess!Her power is ours!"
A small girl with red hair tied in braids said to Henry,putting on a joked smug smile.Henry raised an eyebrow in mock surprise.

"Oh the horror!We've lost Melody!"
Akiya said dramatically.Gabriel lost it,laughing until he couldn't.He glanced at Henry once he recovered and smiled at him softly.Henry returned it,his smile glowing.
"Hey lady!Why is mister Henry's eyes all cool lookin'?"
One of the younger boys asked Melody.She sat up,turning to Henry.He stood there in awe for a second at the boy's comment but was cut off as Melody laughed.
"Well let's ask the answer man how's about it kid?"
She stood up and lifted the small boy up,
"Henryyy?Henry weathers?"

Melody placed the boy down and pulled Gabriel to her,wrapping an arm around his shoulder.Holding her microphone,she threw it one handed in the air and snapped her fingers,shrinking it to a small pole and mic.The kids gasped,whispered to each other in ecstatic tones,
"Well it's great to win another brawl against that ass Anthrolus Fletcher,breathing in that old victorious air!"
The other two and the children laughed,giggling as Melody impersonated a radio host's upbeat,catchy voice.She let go of Gabriel as he tried to snatch the microphone away from her,
"Melody hush!Some of the other children are sleeping!"
Gabriel said,trying to sound firm,but he ended up breaking a smile as Melody just mocked a laugh that sounded very similar to a movie character Gabriel had watched from an old film.He remembered his mother telling him the movie was a horror classic from another far away universe.

"You tell those children if they don't wake up and join our very extended break to have some fun than they are deado kiddo's!Boy oh boy!I have never felt so much admiration in one small circle in my whole life!Gabriel!Get me their names,I want to shake their hands in the future when they do great things!Except for-who's that grumpy pants over there?Ah!Henry!"
Henry smiled and shook his head as the group giggled again.Melody wrapped her arm around Gabriel's shoulder again,
"Oh I love this boy!I've known him almost my whole life!He's like one of the many brothers I never had!Oh wait a second,he is!"
The villagers watching their kids interact with Melody smiled,happy that they were safe and well provided when Melody was around.To make their wishes become a reality.

Melody could be a pompous,prideful person when you got to know her,but she had a dangerous mission,one that the kid's didn't need to know about until they went down in history.A story to tell to their kid's children.One day.Moments like these where Melody could forget about her fate,the danger,the crying and the pain.The suffering and the sadness.Melody wished this moment could last forever,without a greedy tyrant to take away their childish innocence away from their grip.The kid's deserved this.
