unrequited love

Gabriel and Elliot had been best friends since high school. They shared every experience together and were inseparable. As they grew up together, Gabriel developed a deep and intimate love for Elliot, however he never found the courage to express how he truly felt about his friend.

One day, Elliot's wife fell ill and he had to leave suddenly to take care of his son, Jonathan. A worried Gabriel offered to take care of the child, giving Elliot a temporary peace of mind. During this time, Gabriel found himself deeply caring for Jonathan and as he looked into the child's eyes, he saw the reflection of Elliot, who he was so deeply in love with.

Grief-stricken, Gabriel had to finally let go of his unspoken feelings, as he knew that he would never be able to tell Elliot how he truly felt.

However, Elliot had by now figured out that Gabriel loved him. After arriving back home, he embraced Gabriel in a long and warm hug and thanked him for taking care of Jonathan. Even though no words were spoken, it was clear that Eliot was aware of Gabriel's feelings. The two stayed close as friends, with thoughts of an unspoken love lurking in the background between them.

It wasn't until his wife, Natasha, arrived that Gabriel started to feel something more for his best friend. The feeling was growing stronger and stronger, to the point where he could no longer fight it. No matter how much he tried to deny it and push it away, it kept growing.

But Gabriel thought it was wrong to feel this way because he was married and had a son, Jonathan. He figured that if he were to pursue a relationship with Elliot, he would be betraying both them and his family. Still, he couldn't deny his feelings, and he constantly found himself wishing that he could be with Elliot and that they would both be happy.

One day, while they were out in the garden playing with Jonathan, Gabriel saw that his son was looking at him and Elliot in a strange way. He knew that Jonathan sensed the fondness between them and was looking for confirmation. Jonathan looked up at Gabriel and asked, "Do you love my Daddy?"

Although it pained him to admit it, Gabriel had to say the truth, "Yes."

Jonathan smiled and replied, "I thought so. You make a great Mommy for my Daddy."
