The moonlight shone through the window and against your warm sleeping body as the rain patters against the window. Moonlight drapes over you like the sudden dread that fills your mind.
You toss and turn in your sleep as you whimper and pant in fear and stress. Miles wakes up and holds you, seeing you not calming down, he tries to wake you up.
"Hey baby," he gently shakes you as you begin to cry, "it's okay, you're safe here with me." he whispers gently.
You wake up still crying, Miles holds you closer and strokes your back softly.
"Ssshhh, it's okay...you're here, with me, you're safe, I won't let anything hurt you." Miles whispers to you gently. You cry into his chest.
"Darling, it's okay, breathe with me.." he says softly and he helps you take deep breaths. As you calm down, Miles kisses you're forehead. As he holds you, you begin to relax and you fall peacefully asleep in his gentle, caring arms, making sure that you are safe and calm.
