From her place by Baelon's side she watched as her grandfather was taken away by the maester and one of the Kingsguard and her mother was taken away from her father, her gaze then moved from her retreating grandfather to Aemond, causing her to grab hold of Baelon's arm. Later on while the Silent Sisters were readying Vaemond's body with Rhaenys's supervising, Alyssa was standing in the Red Keep's godwood and stood before the weirwood tree. It was then that she felt hands on her biceps causing her to involuntarily shiver; she assumed it was Baelon but was shocked when she glanced to her right and saw it was Aemond, causing her to step away from him and nearly trip over the roots. As he stood before her, her grip on her dress tightened, "I am team black, you are team green." Aemond didn't seem to care and walked up to her, but just as he was about to take hold of her hands, Alyssa moved away from him and held her hands over her chest, "I wanna be yours." Turning to face him, she couldn't understand why he was so obsessed with her, "My family is everything to me." Once again as he tried to walk towards her, she walked away from him, "I wanna be yours."

Just as she was about to say something Baelon finally appeared and saw the two together, before he could even say anything or even make himself known, Aemond walked up to Alyssa and finally was able to take her within his arms. Alyssa looked up at Aemond, then at his scar that mirrored her own, she looked back to his face and her eyes flicked between his eyes and lips, suddenly she found his lips on her own. The love and tenderness this caused her eyes to flutter close. He caressed her other cheek with his other hand. His tongue slid into her mouth gently, dancing with hers. Her arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer. One hand moved to rest on her hip. She moved to break away but he pulled her back, the hand that was on her cheek tangling in her hair and holding her there. Her heart fluttered. He broke the kiss to look into her eyes, his forehead on hers. A red tint decorated her cheeks.

Suddenly the moment was ruined when her betrothed and her older brother cleared his throat causing the two to part and for his normally calm and pleasant demeanour slowly changed and his face contorted in an all-consuming anger, his nostrils flaring, his eyes flashing and closing into slits, his mouth quivering, slurring words that were unintelligible came spewing into space like a volcano releasing its pent up emotions into the darkness. His hands closed into fists and he crouched forward, daring him to repeat once more the words that had torn his heart into fragments. Baelon didn't wait! Then he let go with a right uppercut to the head that sent Aemond flying from one side of the room to the other at what seemed like the speed of light. His body made contact with the opposite wall and he slid to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Alyssa looked between her uncle and brother unable to think of what to do, Aemond made the choice and he stood up and walked over to them and was about to punch Baelon when Alyssa got between them. She and Aemond made eye contact and she silently pleaded with him not to retaliate, Aemond conceded and lowered his arm, Alyssa then looked between them and said, "We must not be late for the feast."

As the two men were glaring at each other, Alyssa rolled her eyes and lightly hit the back of their heads causing both to stare at her with a questioning glare; she motioned for them to walk toward where the feast was going to be held. Neither heeded her call causing her to roll her eyes and push Baelon to walk away, he glared at her but did as he was asked. As he walked off, Alyssa was about to follow him when Aemond grabbed hold of her hand causing her to look back at him, he pulled to him, allowing her hands to rest on his chest as she looked up upon him, "Kesan daor nārhēdegon bona vūjigon, ñuha jorrāelagon." Alyssa's single violet orb flickered to his lips then up to his face, he was confused as to what she was planning but she simply smiled and said, "Ao sȳrkta daor nārhēdegon bisy." Alyssa crooked her fingers in Aemond's silver hair to cling herself towards his face, before crushing her lips on his, under his utterly amazed look. In contrast, surprise lasted a mere second for Aemond, before he lifted Alyssa up onto him from one arm, while the other was along her back.
