The story began 15 years ago when little Hope stood on a bridge, contemplating the possibility of ending her life. She jumped off the bridge and fell into the water, her body submerged in the cold and dark water.

Suddenly she felt someone grab her, and she is lifted out of the water by little Tasha. Tasha seemed concerned about Hope's mental state, but was also trying to protect her from self-harm. Lisa who was playing with Tasha ran to help.

"Are you okay? Thank goodness you didn't swallow too much water. But, where is your mother?". Tasha asked
"My mother doesn't like me, it's why I'm here". She replied, her words heavy with sadness
"It's okay. We're here for you. We can be your friends". Lisa nodded with soft conviction.

"You're not alone, you got us". Tasha reassured Hope with kindness and sensitivity.
"Really?". Hope asked, her pain beginning to fade at the warmness of the reception she is receiving.
"The more the merrier," Tasha said with a bright smile, showing genuine sincerity and support.

"But my mom said I'm not the easiest person to deal with, and that I'm always so needy". Hope expressed with a hint of sadness in her voice, looking for an answer in Tasha's eyes.
"I understand that you're going through a difficult time and I want to be here for you". Tasha asserts, displaying immense empathy.

"So we're friends?". Hope asked, finding a glimmer of hope in her new friend's words.
"Yes, we're friends". Tasha responded with a warm smile, offering the comfort and friendship that Hope so desperately desires.

"Let's take care of each other and be friends forever. We will be there for each other, through thick and thin". Lisa said with a reassuring smile, showing her commitment to Hope's friendship.
"We won't abandon you like your mom did". Tasha chimed in, providing additional assurance in a tone of understanding and support.
"You promise?". Hope asked, seeking a confirmation of their promise, as she is weary of trusting anyone after her experience with her mother.

"Yes, i'll take care of you. I can handle whatever that comes with being your friend". She assured Hope with a smile, showing her dedication to their friendship.
"You might eat your words later and wish you never met me. I'm having a very tough childhood". Hope responded, expressing her insecurities about the future and feeling like a burden to her new friends.

"Well we're friends now, so you can live your childhood through me". Tasha responded with determination and positivity, offering Hope a chance to be carefree and have a brighter childhood.

PRESENT- THE PARK – DAWN

Hope was jogging while listening to music and getting lost in the rhythm. Her phone rang suddenly. She reached for it and answered it through the EarPod, taking the opportunity to pause her music.

"Hello Nancy".
"How is my favourite girl doing?"
"For the millionth time, I am okay".
"There's no harm in checking, call me if something happens alright and remember to..."

"Breathe in and out, keep calm and think positive thoughts, rainbows and lights at every tunnel". She said mocking and mimicking with a sarcastic tone.
"I love you too, always think chocolates babes". She replied in a flirty and playful tone, showing her affection for Hope.

"Are you even a certified therapist?". Hope asks Nancy in a playful way.
"No, listening to depressed people is a pure talent, not an acquired skill.  Therefore, a formal degree is not necessary". Nancy explained in a playful, yet matter-of-fact way.
"I knew there was something off about you, I have to go". She hung up and continued jogging.
