NEXT DAY- DAVIS HOUSE- MORNING- KITCHEN
The whole family was at a breakfast table where they were all having a conversation, but Hope wasn't participating in the conversation at all. She was quiet and seemed worried about something.
Alex noticed that Hope was sitting farther from him than usual, and it concerned him. He knew something was wrong, and he couldn't help but wonder what.
"Sister, why are you sitting far away from me today?".
"We are still at the same table Alex". In a rude tone
"Hope, if you not okay go to your room before you add to your problems". Grace said softly
"Are you okay sister?". Worryingly asked"I am okay and I'm full". She got up and left
"Go to your room Alex, I will talk to your sister".
"You went looking for her last night, what happened?" Merida asked
"She had a fight with her friends".Merida entered Hope's room and saw her sobbing quietly. She was staring at her friendship bracelet and obviously feeling devastated.
"I would've knocked but I knew you wouldn't let me in". Merida said
"What do you want?". She wiped her tears
"You need to solve whatever it is you're going through because you'll end up losing more than you expected if you keep pushing everyone away"."Am I not allowed to have some time to myself?".
"That doesn't excuse how you talked to him. He's just a child and you know how sensitive and possessive he is about you, you got him used to that. Maintain your balance and take accountability for your actions, apologise, that's what you do when you do people wrong"."Your advice makes you sound like a hypocrite considering how you've never apologised to anyone you've wronged".
"And that's why I have no one by my side... but you do you".She left her room and got Hope thinking. She wiped her face and went into Alex's room. She found him sitting on bed, sad and disappointed. She sat next to him with a pitiful face
"Bambam?".
"What are you doing here?".
"I am here to apologise. The truth is, I had a fight with Tasha and she no longer wants to be my friend. I'm a little stressed out but I shouldn't have taken it out on you. I'm sorry"."Doesn't she like you anymore? Did you say sorry?".
"I did but it's just not enough, she's still mad".
"When you hurt someone you need to go above and beyond to earn their forgiveness. Sometimes a simple "I'm sorry", is not enough"."You are too wise for your age. What about you, do you forgive me?".
"I'll always forgive you, my love is bigger. Go and say sorry, if she doesn't forgive you then try again tomorrow".
"I will. Thank you".She hugged him tighter than a bear hug.
LATER THAT DAY- REC CENTRE
Hope was feeling terribly nervous and anxious the day she prepared her apology for Tasha. She had a plan, though. With the support of her aunt and brother, she created a slideshow presentation that documented their friendship from the beginning. It included photos, videos, and even some funny memories that meant a lot to her. They finally arrived. She tried to contain her nerves, and when the time came, she hit play on the slideshow.
"What's all this?". Tasha asked
"Please hear me out, just sit down please".
"Fine".Tasha rolled her eyes and they sat down. Hope let out a stressed heavy sigh.
"I'm sorry, I know I was a bad friend".
"Am", present tense". Said Tasha
"I am a bad friend, and I have no excuse. We are here today because of me. You and Lisa falling apart is also because of me. But that's not because I want Lisa to myself, I thought if I had someone I related to, I would feel less miserable".
