Chapter 2:

Maddison's POV:

"Z-zona!" I cry out, leaning over the best as I feel as though I might throw up.

"Maddy it's okay sweetheart," Arizona reassures me, "we just need to wait a few minutes for the medicine to start working okay?"

"When is Callie going to put the cast on my leg?" I ask

"She's in surgery at the moment but she should be here soon" Arizona replies.

"Zona"

"Yes Maddy?"

"I want Maya" I say, my bottom lip wobbling.

"I can page someone in the er to ask if she's still here?" She offers

"Yes please."

"I'm sorry sweetheart but she's gone home for the night" Arizona apologised.

"S-she's gone?" I ask, tears spilling down my face.

"Dr deluca said that she's coming back first thing in the morning"

"Dr deluca?" I ask

"She's mayas girlfriend"

"Does she work here then, you said that she's a doctor"

"Yeah she helps mommies have their babies" Arizona explains.

"Oh" I reply.

"I don't think I have a mommy" I say sadly

"I'm sure you do sweetheart, everyone has a mommy, but sometimes people just don't know their mommy." Zona tells me

"Can I See Elby?"

"Once Callie puts a cast on your leg then yes I will take you to see elby"

"Thank you zona" I smile at her

"I'm going to check on some other patients okay? I'll be back in a little while"

Arizona leaves me and around 10 minutes later she returns back with Callie following her.

"Okay miss Maddison let's give you a cast" Callie says

"Zona" I say, reaching my arm out for her. She holds my hand and squeezes it slightly.

"First of all what colour do you want?" Callie asks me

"I-I don't know" I whisper

"What's your favourite colour sweetie?" Arizona asks me

"Y-yellow" I say shyly

"Then should we choose a yellow cast?" Arizona questions

"Yes please" I say

Callie starts putting the cast on my leg and not even 5 minutes later it's done, it comes up just after my knee since my leg was trapped pretty badly.

"Zona" I ask

"Yes Maddy?"

"Can i See elby now?"

"Of course! Let's go now shall we"

Arizona picks me up so that I'm resting on her hip and she Carrie's me downstairs into the er to find elby.

"Elby!" I shout as soon as we walk into her room.

Arizona puts me down on Elby's bed and I shuffle next to her, giving her a hug.

"Maddy you broke your leg?" Elby exclaims

"Yeah, but Look Callie gave me a cast and its yellow" I show her

"If you want elby I can give you a sharpie and you can sign maddys cast" a doctor with long brown hair and pink scrubs asks
