Lei giggled as he stretched, tied his hair back, and watched Rory snore with a pillow in his arms. Now, instead of looking in the mirror, the first thing he did when he woke up was look at his phone.

There was a message at the top of the screen as soon as he picked it up. He immediately replied with anticipation.

"We're all going out for lunch, and no, I'm not ASKING you if you can come. You are coming."

Lei didn't know if he should laugh or cry at those words, but he didn't dare say no to Maxine.

"Okay! Is everything alright? This isn't anything bad, is it?" Even though Lei couldn't see it, Max had a smirk of satisfaction across her face.

"Relax, dude, we'll talk about it there. See you at noon, and bring your boyfriend. Here's the location." Lei sprang up when he saw the time on the clock and quickly tore the blankets off of Rory. He was pacing all over the room and throwing clothes and trinkets everywhere.

Rory woke up dazed and confused about why he had a shirt over his head. Before he could take it off to see, Lei had already thrown more things at him.

"Hey, what's your prob-"

"HURRY AND GET READY. WE HAVE 15 MINUTES TO GET OUT OF HERE!"

"THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU GET TO THROW YOUR STINKY SKULL-PRINT UNDERWEAR AT ME!"

Lei put his hands over his hips and swerved to glare at him. "For one, I didn't throw them at you. I accidentally threw them in your direction. For two, those are CLEAN. SO GET UP AND STOP COMPLAINING."

"But I need to take a shower-" Lei massaged his temples, letting out a sigh. His patience was hanging by a thread.

"I will shower, and then you can go. You can't be first for everything!" Rory snickered and scanned Lei's body with his eyes.

"Why waste water and time? Let's just go in together." He whispered as he pushed past him into the bathroom and pulled his shirt over his head.

"NO- NO- WAIT!"

Rory held onto the strap of Lei's bag anxiously as they marched through the street. He had no idea how to feel. Even after they had cleared things up, the thought of having to interact with Maxine wasn't exactly comforting.

Lei was too distracted getting there to notice how he was acting. Rory's comfort was the last thing on his mind at the moment. Despite the record time, they were both perfectly dressed up and accessorized. He had no worries about that, yet he couldn't help but feel nauseous at the thought of bad news.

Their faces of worry were priceless as they stepped into the sushi place. To the girls, they looked like two lost toddlers in the distance. Bonnie's jaw dropped when she saw Rory at the door, but Liz looked confused. Max simply crossed her arms and leered in his direction through her whispy lashes. She was wearing a black berret that matched her leather jacket and white dress shirt.

Before anyone could even greet them, Bonnie dashed over to the entrance and grabbed their hands to pull them towards the table.

"You must be Rory! My name is Bonnie. You're even more gorgeous than I thought. Let's go sit down, we have to tell you guys what happened!"

"Nice to meet you, Bonnie..." Lei was used to Bonnie's explosive personality, but Rory had no clue how to react. He stared at her antennae. They were just like his. He had never met someone who had a pair so similar.

"Liz, nice to meet you." She said, reaching for a firm handshake across the table as Rory smiled back.

"Hello, Liz," He replied as his eyes momentarily shifted toward Max, who still had not spoken to him.
