Below are different points that need to be explained before reading
❦ Mattheo and Tom are brothers, not father and son. I made the change for them both to be pureblood as it just makes sense to the story. They are half brothers and share the same father - Tom's mother died when he was young and his father met Mattheo's mother.
❦ Valerie Andrews is a half-blood witch. Her mother died at a young age to the hands of dark wizards. She lives with her dad, George Andrews.
❦ She is friends with the golden trio and their friends. But shares most of her classes with those in the Slytherin house; her best friends being Pansy and Mattheo. She also took a liking to Luna Lovegood. She can't really relate to anyone she's friends with due to her mixed friend group.
❦ Tom took a liking to her due to her being close with his brother - despite her being a Gryffindor. He's grown a bit of a soft spot towards her - but he'll never admit it. (This story includes A LOT of soft Tom.)
❦ Tom is in seventh year, while the rest of his friend group is in 6th year.
❦ The Tri-Wizard tournament is set to happen this school year.
