It was so hot. The was sun beating down on our shoulders. We had been walking  for ages, though it wasn't a boring walk. It was fun to see the boys having fun and joking around. I didn't want to try to joke- I have only been in the group for a few days.
The boys all like my which I am glad about. However, Teddy doesn't like me that much, I'm not sure why. He always makes snarky comments about me. Maybe he is jealous? I mean I have become close friends with Chris.

My thoughts are broken by Gordie calling to me. "Hurry un slow-poke!"

"Yeah yeah, I'm literally right behind you dumbo!" I yell to him

"Don't speak to him like that" Teddy suddenly says.
"Pardon? What do you mean? It was only a joke" I ask surprised that he got so angry about such a little thing.

"You know what you did, what you've done since you've got here!" He yells angry
"I'm really sorry I don't understand?" I reply nervous.

" of course you wouldn't you're to thick to understand"

"Oh" the harshness of the words had stund me.

"Your thick just like your single mum, she's so dumb and useless she couldn't even keep you dad to love her!" He yells livid now.

I was going to just let it go but the words he said made me snap.

"The fuck did you just say?" I say in a deadly manner.
"You heard me! YOURE A DUMB LITTLE PRICK, JUST LIKE YOUR MUM! YOU SHOULDNT HAVE JOINED MY GROUP, WE WERE FINE UNTILL YOU CAME!"

"OH IM THE PROBLEM? HOW THE FUCK AM I THE PROBLEM? IF YOUR THAT INSECURE THAT YOUR FRIENDS ARE GOING TO LEAVE YOU, THEN WHY ARE YOU FRIENDS WITH THEM?" I was furious.

"You say one more thing about my mum, I'll shove you off this fucking bridge!" I continued.

"I'm sorry I'm just annoyed that you joined that's all" Teddy said looking down.

"Well sorry doesn't cut it I'm leaving" I say turning around.

"What no you can't do that you don't know when the next train is!" Chris crys out.

"Please don't go" vern and gordie say.
"Your going to get your self killed please don't go! Teddy was just being an asshole!" Chris pleads

I just keep walking in the opposite direction. Why does Chris care so much?

I am about halfway across the bridge when I suddenly see a puff of smoke from the trees! I squint my eyes and sure enough speeding towards me is a train.

"TRAINNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!" I yell turning back on my heel and sprinting as fast as I can.

In front of me I see vern go down on his knees and crawl. I would have laughed but there was a fucking train behind me. Gordie looks behind his shoulder and spots me.
"Run faster!" He yells.

Now it's Chris's turn to look behind his shoulder.
"Run faster God damit!"
"Shut up what do you think I'm doing?!" I screech at him.

I look over my shoulder and it is literally right behind me! I can see gordie and Vern a few feet in front of me jump into the dirt.
Well I have no choice

I yell and jump over the edge. My body falls for what seems like forever. Then i finally plunge straight into freezing cold water!

Chris's pov:

Me and Teddy make it to the end and look behind us just in time to see Gordie and Vern jump off the side! We wait impatiently for the train to go by. Once it has gone we rush to check if they are okay.

"At least we know when the ext train was due" I joke.

Looking around I suddenly realise that y/n isn't here! 

Your pov:

I splash into the water! I had hoped that I would just tumble to the land not the water! Mainly because I am a terrible swimmer....

I feel water fill my lungs. My body slowly sinks. My chest hurts so much, it feels like it's about to collapse. I guess this is what drowning feels like.

Above me I see a figure suddenly appear. Maybe it is just a figment of my imagination, after all I do feel quite sleepy.

I gasp for breath.

A harsh light momentarily blinds me.

I hear cheers and hurried voices.

What on earth is happening?

Blinking I try to make out my surroundings, it looks like a path with trees and train tracks.

WAIT A SECOND! TRAIN TRACKS?

That is definitely not how I imagined the afterlife to be like! I splutter and blink even more.

Suddenly I realise where I am!

I see Chris looking at me with a worried face. I fling my arms around him and choke out a sob.

He wraps his arms around me and pulls me close,  "don't ever do that again" he whispers.

"I'm sorry, I'll try not to!" I whisper back trying not to laugh.
