Peter knew he was in for a rough week. His mentor (and father figure) is taking him on holiday today. Why might that be a problem, you ask? Well, ever since the homecoming incident, you know, the one where the poor kid had a building dropped on him, Peter has been having terrible nightmares EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Now normally the teen would lock himself in his room and just silently cry until it passed, but for this whole week he's going to be sharing a hotel room with Tony Stark. THE Tony Stark. Yeah. Peter can't really hide the screaming and crying and hyperventilating when iron man is literally lying in the bed next to him. He knew he could hide it on the plane by obviously not going to sleep, but he couldn't really go a whole week with no sleep without Tony noticing, so he was kinda fucked. Maybe this is a good thing. Maybe Peter can finally get the help he so desperately needs. Nah lmao this is going to be so embarrassing for him. Tony isn't going to look at him the same. He doesn't know what happened during homecoming so he's just going to think that Peter is a baby having nightmares over random shit like aliens or killer clowns (which are pretty scary tbf).

Now of course Tony knew that Peter was struggling with anxiety, it didn't take a lot to stress the kid out, but he didn't know it was nightmare and anxiety attack level bad, so it's safe to say he was extremely concerned this whole trip.

Peter was making an attempt to pack his suitcase, but its very difficult when your hands were shaking like there was a 7.2 magnitude earthquake going on. He tried to take a few deep breaths to calm him down and got lost in his own world.
"Pete?"
Peter jumped out of his skin. He was to busy focusing on his breathing to notice Tony entering the room.
"Hey you wanna take a breather? This packing seems to be stressing you out."
Normally, Tony had a heart of stone, or no heart at all I guess, but he was extremely soft when it came to Peter and his anxiety.
"What? Oh no I'm fine haha, just tired" Peter said as he gave him a reassuring smile.
"Oh. You should probably get some sleep on the plane then."
"Yeah.." Peter wouldn't dare sleeping on that plane.

And finally, they were boarding the plane.
"Kid you okay? You're hands are shaking like crazy." Tony said while chuckling to avoid stressing Peter out more.
This was Peter's second time ever flying on one of Tony's jets, so he used that as an excuse for his shaking hands.
"Huh? Yeah, this is my second time flying on a plane so I'm still pretty nervous."
"Don't you worry, underoos! Stark jets are the safest in the country!"
"Sureee. We're just forgetting that time during homecoming when your jet literally crashed and *i* had to save everything in it whilst in extreme pain?"
Why the fuck would he bring up homecoming? Why now? Fuck.
"Hey! To be fair we had a giant human vulture clinging onto it and stuff. God knows what he was capable of."
Maybe God didn't know what he was capable of, but Peter did.
After that conversation, Peter didn't utter a word for the rest of the flight. He didnt want to speak just incase he might burst into tears and tell his mentor everything. Tony noticed this.

They were walking to their hotel when the older man decided to speak up.
"Whats wrong?"
Peter looked at him with confusion written all over his face.
"Peter you didn't speak for the entire flight. Did I say something to bother you?"
"What? No! Honestly I'm just really tired Mr Stark, please don't worry about me."
Mr Stark.
"Yet you didn't sleep on the plane at all, its my job to worry about you, kid."
Tony didn't want to bring it up, but Peter calling him Mr Stark felt worse than being shot.
"Sir, it was my second time ever flying. I'm not very used to sleeping whilst literally flying mid air." Peter lied. He was used to flying. His job is literally to swing around the city, and Tony knew this, but he could see the kid getting more and more anxious so he decided to leave it for now. He just sighed and continued walking.

By the time they had arrived at the hotel room and unpacked everything, it was 1.30am. So naturally, they were both absolutely exhausted. They both flopped on to their beds and stared at the ceiling for a while. Eventually, the older one fell asleep. Peter was trying to put off sleep for as long as possible.

Fuck. He accidentally shut his eyes for too long. He fell asleep. Here we go.
