What do we do?

The girls woke up and they both sat up and looked at each other.
"That wasn't a dream, was it?" Elston asked as she got up to get ready for school. "No. No, it was not," Dawson replied after getting ready to go.
After they got up and ready for the day, Even though it was a Saturday, they went to go meet the guys downstairs in the Gordale magic library, so they could start doing some research and see if they could find anything about rare or valuable potions.
"Guys, this is starting to feel useless. We aren't going to find anything in here," Dawson complained as she slammed her book shut.
But then a few seconds later from the corner of the room, Griffin held up his book and yelled, "Guys, I actually think it found something."
They all got up and went over to Griffin and the book.
After giving it a quick look they all thought that was the answer.
"It's a potion called 'omnipotens,'" Griffin said while everyone was examining the pages. He continued, "It's a potion that makes a person the all powerful and almighty wizard or witch. Allowing them to cast any spell desirable and make any potion, but the only catch was the potion wears off every 12 hours, and you have to leave it in the light of a full moon for three hours."
They all looked at each other for a few moments then Elston broke the silence, "Okay so this will be easy. We just need to ask someone of a higher level to help."
"You're right, but who do we know is a level 12, which is the level you need to be to make this," Cole chimed in.
The three of them looked at him waiting for the light bulb to go off.
"Oh, right, headmaster McKennly, duh," he said, as his light bulb went off. The plan was after it was made they would leave it on their windowsill Thursday night because that's when the first full moon was. Then they would sneak downstairs and put the potion on the nurse's desk — hopefully, without having to interact with the nurse. "I think this may actually work," Dawson said with a hopeful tone in her voice. "Yeah, we just have to be really careful and convince the Headmaster to do it," Cole said as he was getting up to head out.
"Okay, so everyone remembers we are going to stay after classes today and tell McKennly we need help with the potion?" Griffin said as they were all walking out the door. "Okay, but what do we say if she asks why?" Elston questioned.
"Then we just say we want to see the process or it's for more practice or something," Griffin quickly replied.
Later that night, they went to class and prepared for the next round of tasks. Whoever survived tonight's round would make it the final round the next night. This task was the most
nerve wracking because you weren't allowed to memorize spells and had to react with whatever spell pops in your head first. Dawson was up first, completely petrified.
"For this task, I will give myself an injury of various sorts and you must fix it with the first spell that pops in your head," McKennly explained.
Then, she put her wand to her arm and when she lifted it there was a giant gash in her forearm. Within a split second, Dawson threw her wand up in the air and said the first spell that came to mind, "Cut sana sunt." Maybe a millisecond later, McKennly's arm was back to normal.
"Impressive Ms. Villin. I would say you've passed," she said with a slight grin on her face. Dawson relaxed and smiled with relief as she walked over to be by her friends. "If you've made it, I will list your levels now and then we will start classes tomorrow." Dawson was praying that she made it to level 6 because that's what the rest of her friends were at.
"Diane Dubre and Lane Torrio... level 8." Diane shreeked and gave Lane a kiss. "Jake Aven, Dawson Villin, and Andrew Harrison... level 6." Dawson gave Elston a hug of relief after hearing that she was the same level as them.
"The rest of you that made it... level 4. Good work today. We will start classes tomorrow evening," McKennly said and dismissed the class.
Now that all of that was over, the group of four stayed after class to start step one of their plan, which was to ask Master McKennly for her help to make the potion. "Can I help the four of you?" McKennly asked as she was cleaning up from class. "We were hoping you could actually, with a- with a potion," Griffin struggled to get out. "A potion? What potion did you have in mind?" she asked as she started walking over to the potion cabinet to put away the remaining ingredients.
"Omnipotens..."
McKennly stopped in her tracks and turned to look at them. "And what could you guys want with that powerful potion? she said looking at all of them.
"We just want to get practice with harder potions and get the experience of making them," Elston said as they all started making their way closer to Mckennly, sounding unconvincing, but convincing enough to McKennly.
"If it's for educational purposes, I guess I could help you," McKennly said. "But tomorrow early and don't let anyone see you coming down here, understood?"
The group nodded their heads in agreement and started to head up the stairs. Mckennly watched them leave still unconvinced and assumed they were up to no good, but turned back to continue cleaning.
"Guys, I can't believe it actually worked," Cole whispered as they entered the hallway where their dorms were.
"Yeah, I guess but..." Dawson started.
"But what?" Griffin jumped.
"I don't know. I just find it a bit odd that she actually agreed to help us, that's all," Dawson finished.
"Yeah, but it's for educational purposes," Elston said with quotations. "And we aren't doing anything bad just trying to get rid of a bad person."
Dawson shrugged as they kept walking.
A few moments later, Elston and Dawson dropped the boys off, did the enchantment and headed to their room. They got into their room, did their nightly protection routine and started getting ready for bed. After they changed, they got into their beds and Elston looked over at Dawson and noticed a worried expression across her face.
"Hey Dawson, everything okay?" Elston asked her, a bit concerned.
"I can't stop thinking. What if this isn't what we are supposed to be doing? What if it's the wrong potion? What if it's something we aren't even thinking of," she rambled off. "I get why you may think that, but we can't really know until we try, right?" "Yeah you're right." Dawson replied while she pulled the covers of her bed slipping under them and getting ready for bed.
"Good, now let's get to bed. We have an early morning tomorrow," Elston stated. Dawson nodded her head and reached to turn out her light.
"Goodnight Dawson, try not to worry too much. We're in this together" Elston said trying to reassure her.
" I will try my best," Dawson chuckled a little, "Goodnight El". After they said goodnight they laid in the dark soon falling asleep.
