Chapter 14

Mix squeezed his own fingers tightly. He hoped that Phi Jo could've drive longer than usual, giving him some extra time to form some words. His memory were than flashed back when it was still just two days after they got married.

It's was still so clear how Earth without any words, slammed down his phone when it had run out of battery, as he came home late because of his campus activities.

This time, he didn't know what Earth would do. Only a few minutes ago he started making plans to start everything from scratch. But now it feels like everything in his head when blank.

"Mix. We've arrived home."

His hands were now shaking slightly when he see Earth car was parked neatly in their garage. Mix grip his phone too tight, hoping that he will no longer need to replace this device, which is not yet two months old.

"Mix."

Mix's body stood stiff after entering the living room, which was directly connected to the lounge room. Earth were sitting on the sofa, staring closely at the big screen television, more precisely at Mix's image that was cast on that blank screen.

"I was planning to stay overnight at First's house," said Mix with his explanation.

Earth turned to look at Mix who was still froze from quite a distance from where he stand.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Why do I have to, when obviously you've known all my activities from Phi Jo?"

Maybe it was the effect from him pouring out all of his complaints with First and Khaotung a moment ago, and now Mix had the courage to answer Earth's question.

"You know all the things that I've done from morning till midnight. And let be honest, you've already knew that I'll be sleeping over at First's."

There was a tightness in Mix's chest that holding him back from not to express all of his emotions. For some reason, there's a feeling of guilt for not telling Earth suddenly came to his awareness. Earth were still his husband, staying at other people house is still a big deal, it may need his personal consent.

"A simple text will do Mix." Earth said calmly yet Mix can still feel the cold tone.

"What's the purpose of having a phone?" His continue but now with more intimidating, and suddenly something in Mix, snapped.

"WHY AM I HERE?"

This time it was Mix who throw out his own phone. Earth chin up, shocked with Mix's overreaction.

"Once Earth, not even once since we got back from Japan did you talk to me. Have we even met each other in this house?"

"Do you even realized, that this is the first time that we meet since we got back?"

Mix's voices started to shake, as hard as it was, he wanted to finish everything that he wanted to say before he started crying again.

The person he was talking to, were just standing there looking at Mix questioningly. As if he was thinking, why he was so emotional in a matter of asking for a permission.

"Are you drunk?" Earth ask casually after seeing Mix uproar.

"EARTH!" Mix yelp in frustration.

"All that I ask since the very beginning, is why you didn't ask for my permission to sleep out?"

"BECAUSE I KNOW YOU ALREADY KNEW IT FROM PHI JO"

"You know everything that I've done. Whenever I came back home late from campus, not even once that you ask. Why now? Why after two month, when I want to sleep over do I need to ask for you permission?"
