Carmine knows she doesn’t have a lot of time left before she has to return to Blueberry Academy. Ms. Briar already told her they’d be leaving a bit early, and that means she has to take this chance.
“Hey, Flor, come on. Let me show you something,” she says, pulling him off the beaten path. She knows Kitakami well, after all. Days ago, she’d never consider pulling someone she had considered an outsider to a place like this, but… she’s changed a lot. She doesn’t want to let Florian slip away, and even if she has to leave she wants to give him something he’ll always remember.
He holds on to her hand, letting her lead the way, until she has him in a rather secluded area, surrounded by some trees and bushes. No one comes out here, but it’s calm and quiet. She looks down at the boy, blushing a bit.
“What’s up, Carmine?” he asks, and she doesn’t know what to say. There’s so much she should say. She should tell him she’s going to leave soon. She should tell him how she feels. But none of that sounds right to her. Instead, she just leans down, her yellow eyes narrowing just a bit.
“You’re… still my second in command, right?” she asks, and Florian nods, smiling as he thinks about the time they spent together. “Okay, well, I order you to let me have your first kiss.”
His eyes widen, but she’s already leaning in. Carmine pushes her lips to his, and she grabs the back of his head, pushing her tongue into his mouth. Florian moans a bit, melting into the kiss, and after a moment, Carmine pulls back. She’s blushing, but smiling.
“There. Aren’t you so lucky, getting a kiss from a girl so pretty?” Carmine says, while Florian is still in a daze. “I… really like you, Flor. So maybe we can be a bit more than just friends, okay?”
“Y-yeah, Carmine. That sounds great,” he says, blushing a bit. Of course he’d agree, he’s come to really enjoy the time he spent with her, even if he didn’t know what to think about her from the start. Now, Florian knows he wants to spend more and more time with her. Carmine does feel a bit guilty, knowing that he’s going to have to wait for a while. But won’t that make it sweeter?
