"Uhhh Ladybug and Cat noir?" I suggest out of hope,
"Your crapping with me right?" He snickers.
Currently I was sitting on the couch in Ryders room as we try to decide our Halloween costumes. Friday is the night we make it "official" so we have to be matching.
"What about twilight?"
"Nah"
"Then your gonna have to help me out here," I sigh laughing at him disagreeing with everything. At this point I think he's doing it to be annoying.
"You guys should do cop and robber," Reagan peeks in through the door.
"Hey wait! That's not a bad idea!" I widen my smile looking over at Ryder.
"If I get to be the robber, fine by me," he shrugs.
"Thanks Rae," I turn to her as she flips her hair closing the door with a laugh.
"Ryder I need you to come get your laundry!" Lisa calls coming around the corner into his room.
"Mom."
"Caroline! I'm so sorry I didn't know you were here, would you like to join us for dinner?" His mom notices me.
"Thank you but I should really get going my parents are probably expecting me," I smile standing up to go.
"I'll walk you out, Ryder, get the clothes." Lisa adds walking with me.
"See ya Ryder," I call out. "See ya Caroline," he answers back going into another room.
"So Caroline I had a favor I wanted to ask you if it's not too much," Lisa turns facing me.
"Of course,"
"At this party Friday night, sometimes at night Ryder tends to become more...vulnerable, I was hoping you could make sure he doesn't get into trouble and, don't take anything rude he says to heart okay?" She looks at me with a soft smile her dark brown eyes, the same as Ryders looking at me. As if there's something I don't know and she's trying to help me understand.
At that moment I feel something, an emotion of some sort, "I promise I'll take care of him."
He hugs me, "thank you dear, drive safe!"
...
The week at school has been pretty boring. It's consisted of me and Lane sharing glares back and forth. Tyson coming to my house begging me to talk, I slammed the door in his face. Brinkley was acting kind of strange since Saturday but as soon as Thursday came before the party, she was back to normal.
Now it was Friday, the day Ryder and I made it official, our fake dating.
Honestly I was a little worried if something went wrong. But I took my notes from "To all the boys" and had us both sign a contract Wednesday.
"Okay here's the contract," I cleared my throat looking down at it.
"Contract? You mean like the one from that movie?" Ryder asks leaning over my desk.
"Yes, wait no way you've seen 'To all the Boys'," I make fun of him.
"You forget I have a sister Campbell," he smirks.
"Anyways, here's the list...
1. No telling anyone
2. Physical contact (hand holding, kissing, etc.) is allowed if necessary
