A week has passed since then, but instead of getting better, it became even worst with each passing day.
At home they were treated like slaves by their uncle and aunt. They had a roof over their head, but they had to survive on their own.
Do everything they told them to do, barely survived with the little food they gave them or the cold floor they had to sleep on.
And their school isn't any better..
"Give that back!"Taufan desperately tried to take his jacket back.
"Or what? You're going to tell your parents?" The person asked.
He froze, tears slowly rolling down his cheek. "G-Give it back.."
"What a crybaby!"Their friend exclaimed and harshly pushed Taufan to the ground.
"Ouch..!"Taufan held his head which had hit the wall behind him while falling.
"Pathetic"
Just then, a burning smell appeared, making him immediately look at them.
"M-my jacket..!"Taufan quickly rushed to it and stomp on it to put down the fire while the two older boys left laughing.
"Hicks" He sobbed as he tightly hugged the jacket. "My jacket.."
"Happy birthday my little wind"His mom said as she hugged him.
"Yay! Me bwitday!"Little Taufan giggled.
"Here's your present"Amato said while handling a beautifully packed blue box to him.
"Thank you!"He excitedly opened his present and smiled brightly when he saw a jacket similiar to his older brother, but in blue.
"You know, Hali was the one who suggested the jacket since you love to steal his jacket"His mom whispered to him.
His smile grew even wider and he happily tackeled his brother to the ground with a bear hug.
"Thank you! Thank you! I wove it!"He giggled while Halilintar patted his head and gently pushed him away.
"You're welcome.."Little Halilintar said quietly as his cheek colored into a faint pink.
"Tsundere!"Little Taufan exclaimed making his brother even more embarrassed than he already is.
"That sure is his favourite word"Amato whispered to his wife.
Halilintar glared at his father, knowing very well who had taught him that word.
Their mom just chuckled and watched them while holding baby Gempa in her hands.
"Best bitdway ever!"Taufan thought and smiled brightly.
That day he came back home with his jacket hidden in his back.
"Where is your jacket?"Halilintar asked when he noticed the missing piece.
"I washed it"He lied, but his swollen red eyes betrayed his little smile.
Halilintar simply nodded, letting his brother go for now, but at night he quietly searched for the jacket and managed to find it.
"Why is it burned?"He thought in confusion, knowing very well that his brother loved it too much to ever let it get damage on purpose.
He spent the whole night trying to fix it, but there was nothing he could do about it. The jacket was half burned and slightly ripped apart, nothing could hide nor fix the damage.
"What should I do..?"Halilintar sighed, but then he got an idea.
The next day Taufan was more quieter than he usually is, which didn't go unnoticed by his siblings, but he managed to lie to them.
"I miss my jacket.."Taufan thought as he opened the box he had hid the jacket in before falling asleep. "Eh?"
Instead of seeing a burned and ripped out jacket, he saw a weirdly colored blue jacket and slightly bigger than it used to be.
"Am I dreaming?"He thought as he checked every inch of it and eventually pinched his own cheek. "It's not a dream, but how..?"
After a minute of staring, he couldn't help but smile. He didn't knew how it happened, but that didn't mattered to him. His beloved jacket was back, even if it's not exactly the same.
"So warm"He hugged himself and nuzzled his cheeks to the fabric. "Just like a hug from Hali!"
"Haliii!!"Taufan excitedly ran to his brother and spun around. "Isn't my jacket pretty?"
It was something that Taufan would often do ever since he got the jacket, which made Halilintar smile a little.
"Mhm, it's pretty"
Taufan paused when he noticed that his brother wasn't wearing his jacket like he always does.
"Where is your jacket?"Taufan asked in confusion. "Did you wash it?"
"It got too small for me, so I put it away,"He lied.
"Awh.. That's too bad, now we can't match anymore.."Taufan sighed and lowered his head.
"So you don't like the jacket anymore?"Halilintar jokingly asked.
"What- no- I mean yes- no-!"Taufan panicked. "I still love it no matter what!"
"Then it doesn't matter if we don't match anymore." Halilintar patted his head, making him smile.
"You're right!"He giggled. "But Hali.."
"Hm?"
"It's weird seeing you without your jacket, it really suits you well."
"You'll get used to it."Halilintar patted his head again.
"I guess so.."Taufan then grinned and hugged him without any warning.
Halilintar just sighed in relief after seeing his brother back to normal and hugged him back despite feeling uncomfortable.
"It suits you more anyway.."He thought with a pleased smile on his face.
Suddenly a loud shattering noise was heard from the kitchen, alarming them both as they quickly rushed to see what had happened.
