My phone was ringing,a weh dem people yah want now. Shay's head was resting on my hand,so it was a bit of a struggle trying to reach my phone on the table and at the same time trying not to wake her up.

She rummaged through the cupboards and took out some flour,plantain and a can of ackee my mom must have left.
She began to make breakfast and I sat and watched.
“Stop watch mi yah creep mi out,”she said when she caught me staring and I laughed.
She finished making breakfast and she served out our food.
