. VICTORIA MCCOY .
The man seemed to be getting closer every time I would look away from him, it's been around 10 minutes and the tea I ordered from the woman seems to be taking a while as well.
— "Vicky? You haven't responded to my text."
The notification had lit my phone up but I felt as if I couldn't pull my eyes away from the mystery man in the hood who sat only three tables before me, he was inching closer and it didn't feel like he was in any mood to be friendly. The elderly woman popped her head through the two metal kitchen doors calling out to me "sorry about the delay darlin' the kettle wasn't even brewin' I'm so forgetful sometimes!" My eyes reluctantly shift to meet the woman's sending her a polite smile "it's okay, like I said take your time" she nodded at my reply before disappearing back into the kitchen
— "Vic! Stop leaving me on seen!"
Lilith had sent another text in which caught my attention and this time I actually pull my gaze to look down at my phone.
— "Sorry I'm at the hospital right now my mum is sick."
I quickly type out a reply before flickering my gaze over to the mysterious man who was now once again a table closer, both of us were a table apart. A strange feeling bubbled up in my gut, building up my worries and doubts.
Don't let him get close. Don't let him near you.— "Oh shit, is she okay?"
The gentle vibration that buzzed through my phone had reminded me that Lilith and I were still texting but once again I couldn't get myself to pull my eyes away from him, the feeling of anxiousness had started to nibble at my insides, contemplating weather to just forget the tea and leave or stay was like having an argument with myself, the sound of rain had filtered into the background merging with the gentle clinking the woman had made from the kitchen.
The rain drops soft but over time started to pour down, slamming themselves into the window as if trying to force themselves in, the loud echo of rain droplets hitting the glasses windows had started to over take any other small noise in the cafeteria.
Slowly I move my gaze back to my phone to respond to Lilith hoping that I was just overthinking this entire situation and it's my mind playing tricks on me, that man is just trying to find a comfortable seat not attack me. Right..?
— "Yeah she should be fine but I'm still worried"
I typed back in response to her text and it didn't take her any longer than a full millisecond to respond back with her own text.
— "Good, I can't imagine how you'd feel."
The gentle sound of footsteps had alerted me that the man was on the move but this time I don't think he was moving to sit at the table but rather making his way toward me, I lifted my gaze form my phone once again and this time the sight before me had stole the breath form my lungs in shock.
There he stood.
Right in front of me.His black hood managed to cover his face leaving the only thing to be seen is the bottom of a mask, a scream mask. Don't tell me this is the guy that was stalking around Jaspers house, why is he after me? What does he want?
I now understood what Jasper was feeling though this feels like he was watching me the entire time, my entire ride from Diablos house to here, walking into the hospital and up the stairs, going into my mothers room and talking with my brother, it felt as if he was trying to stalk me like a predator to its prey. It felt as if he was trying to pry into my home life and figure me out.
