Ralphs POV;

Simon, Piggy, and Maurice all looked sad, but I was furious. Jack let the signal fire go out and a ship passed us. We could've been rescued! That boy is going to hear about this later. I could almost feel the smoke coming out of my ears before Y/N came over and hugged me. She whispered to me that "everything will be ok". Everything was calm when she said that. Once she pulled away, she began to look back to the huts. My anger quickly returned and I began yelling at Piggy and Simon. I know they didn't do anything wrong, but I was just so pissed at Jack!

"Ralph, calm down, please." Y/N had turned back around and pleaded with me.                                    "NO Y/N I CAN'T CALM DOWN! WE MAY HAVE JUST LOST OUR ONLY CHANCE AT GETTING HOME AND YOU ARE ALL CALM AND OK WITH THAT?" I snapped. I didn't mean to I swear.                                "OF COURSE I'M MAD AT JACK BUT WHY DOES IT MATTER? IT IS TOO LATE NOW SO WE MIGHT AS WELL JUST ACCEPT IT AND MOVE ON WITH OUR LIVES! WE ARE CLEARLY GONNA BE HERE FOR A WHILE SO JUST FORGET IT!" She was getting all defensive, trying to defend Jack. Did they have something going on together? It looked like she now had tears in her eyes and I think I do too. She hugged me. I hugged back as our tears flowed down our faces. We stayed like that for 5 more minutes until she pulled away.  I wiped her tears off her face while her hands were on my chest. Her beautiful eyes looked up at me, helpless. For a minute I forgot about the other boys around. "Are you going to help build huts?" Piggy asked. I backed away from Y/N, giving her a shy smile.    Yeah, I'm on my way," I told Piggy.                                                                                                                                "I'm going to go get a drink," Y/N told us. "I'll meet you there"                                                                    "OK" Simon Finally spoke up "Don't get lost". And with that, me, Simon, and Piggy went to build more huts for the other boys.

TIME SKIP TO WHEN THE THREE GET TO THE AREA  WHERE THEY MAKE HUTS!

"Sorry 'bout that, guys", I apologized to the boys the whole way to the huts. I still felt so bad about me yelling at them. It wasn't their fault anyway.                                                                                         "So, what're ya gonna do to Jack?" Simon asked, curiously.                                                                             "I don't know. Got any suggestions?". Jack had to be punished for his actions, but here on the island, there weren't adults to enforce rules. I had to create something to teach him a lesson.         "I say we make a cage and throw him in it, hahahahahaha" Piggy's laughter filled the air.                 "Oi mate you may be onto something" Piggy's cage idea might work. It's worth a shot, eh?              Simon spoke up, "Ralph, is that a little extreme?". Piggy's smile quickly faded as his joke started to become a real idea. "OK, how about we use some wood to make a cage, and use some vines to tie the door shut. That'll teach him. The cage will be away from camp, so he has time to reflect in solitude. Maybe it can show the littluns to stay good, ya know?", I explained, "he won't be in there forever, he is still our pal". I couldn't read the boy's faces, but, they all agreed and we got to work.

The cage was sort of small but big enough to fit a boy or two inside. The bamboo bars were thick, going up and down the sides and across the bottom and top. We used vines to secure the cage in place and I was proud of my work. Once we were finished, we walked back to camp and I called an assembly.

I blew the conch with all my might and boys filled the beach. Some boys came from the sea, while others came from the forest. Once I saw everyone here I spoke, "I called this assembly to tell you all very important news. Since recently someone,*Cough cough Jack cough cough*, decided to skip their job and do something else, I came up with a punishment." Some of the boys gasped while others rolled their eyes. I think Jack snorted during my speech, and there was Y/N right by his side. Ugh, that boy made my blood boil more and more each day. I continued, "I don't want to scare anyone, but If we want a chance at getting rescued, we need to stick together and do our assigned jobs.  Since Jack left his job and let the fire go out, he will be the first to use the cage for one night. There will be a bonfire tonight, so hunters catch something useful. Now let's all get back to work. We have a big night ahead of us.". Jack shot me a dirty look, then walked away with the other hunters. Just then, I noticed Y/N walking over to me.            "Ralph look, I know what Jack did was wrong, but now there's a prison on the island?"                      "Y/N, as chief, I need to keep the boys in line. I want to be rescued- we all do- and we need to keep our community in order to even survive until then. I know it's a little much but trust me it will work." I gently grabbed her hands in mine. "Y/N trust me, please. It won't be that bad, OK?"      "Fine, I trust you don't do anything that you will regret, Ralph."  She put one hand on my cheek and the other still in mine. Her beautiful eyes looked up in mine. She looked like she was in a trance or something until she suddenly snapped back to reality. "Are you ok Y/N?" She looked scared. "Oh yeah I'm fine, I'm gonna go take a nap. Cya Ralph" And with that, she walked back into her hut. I decided to go help some of the other boys work.

Y/N POV

Oh No. This can't be happening to me. I think I might have fallen in love... Again.

A/N: I know in the book/movie there is no cage- but i think it works in this storyline. P.S. I know Ralph isn't normally like this in the book/movie, but in this he is older and I wanted to give him sas hehehehe ;)
