Part 9: nightmares

Y/Ns POV

After Ralph brought me back to camp, I laid down and fell asleep. Around 2 am (I think- I mean we don't have clocks) I woke up to a  It was scary, something about a glowing monster eating me and my family alive. Jeez, I missed my family, I just wish they knew I was alive. I kept trying to fall asleep but I just couldn't. I decided to walk over to Ralphs's hut. It was dark, but his and Jack's hut weren't very far from mine- they made sure of that. I quietly walked over to his hut and knocked on the makeshift door of leaves. 

"Whos there?" He asked tiredly. His sleepy voice sounded...nice...

"Its just me, Y/N"

"Oh, is everything alright? Come in". I opened the door to see him shirtless on his bed of leaves. He pushed the hair out of his face and motioned me to come towards him. He sat up and patted next to him. I sat on the bed and leaned against him. 

"Whats up?"

"Nightmare"

"I understand. Wanna talk about it?"

"Not really, it was just about my family. I miss them so much"

"I miss my family too. But now, I consider this my dysfunctional family- ya know?" He let out a small laugh. I laughed too, but now i became tired again. "You can stay here with me if you want"

"I'd like that, Ralph" He got up and plopped on the floor.

"Wait a minute, I;m not letting you sleep on the floor. Im a guest in your hut, Its your bed."

"But I want you to be comfortable-"

"How about you just come up here with me then, ok?" Wait- what did I just say? Did I mean It, or was I just tired??

"If you insist Y/N" He shook his head and crawled into bed next to me. We laid there awkwardly under the covers for a minute until I rolled over and put my head on his chest. I started to fall asleep when I think I heard him mumble "I could get used to this" 

TIME SKIP TO MORNING AND JUST SO Y'ALL KNOW NOTHING SPICY HAPPENED

I woke up In Ralph's arms, and to be honest, I didn't mind. It was warm and cozy. A feeling I hadn't felt since I last slept next to Jack.... Apparently, Ralph saw me awake,

"Good morning sleepyhead"

"grrrrrrrr" was my response. 

"It's ok, we don't have to get up for a few minutes"

"Good"

"Aren't you glad you stayed here"

"Yeahh" Just then I heard a knock on the door. Ralph asked "Who is it" It was Simon

"Hey Ralph" He sounded nervous

"Simon whats wrong?"

"ummmm"

"Simon?"

"oneofthelittlunswokeupandjackwasntinthecageandwecantfindhimanywhere"

"SIMON, please calm down and slow down"

"One of the littluns woke up and went to check on Jack and he wasn't there. Now we can't find him anywhere" A lightbulb went off in my head. He had done it.  It wouldn't surprise me if Rodger was gone too. Ralph was out of bed now and he walked towards the door. "Cya later Y/N" After all that, all he says is cya later? Weird. He still had no shirt on and I shortly followed out of the hut as well. The boys all began a search for Jack, despite Piggy's pleas to try and not find him. Rodger was also missing, but he scared me. I tried to keep my distance, but he was Jack's friend so I tolerated him. I was lonely at camp since all the boys were searching. There were some littluns keeping watch in case he came back, but I knew he wouldn't. I decided to look the once place I thought he was. I walked along the beach for about a mile and climbed up a rocky hill at the edge of the forest. I arrived to see Jack and Rodger sitting at the one and only Castle Rock.
