Chapter 2: The Daughter Of The Sky God

In the Ephermal Realm

Hermes walked through the realm, his footsteps causing loud thuds. He walked to the front of Zeus's castle and knocked on the door.

"Come in Hermes." Zeus's voice echoed through the castle.

Hermes opened the door of the castle to reveal Zeus sitting upon a golden throne with deformed skulls sitting at the foot of it.

"So what special occasion brought you here Hermes?" Zeus has a giant smile on his face, happy to see Hermes.

"Zeus... Elysia found out she was a demigod." Hermes says looking at the floor. Zeus's face goes from a smile to a frown.

In New York

Elysia walks into her apartment still shocked from what her mother told her.

"So does that mean I- am I a demigod?" Elysia asks her mother, "Yes, that's how that boy fell into the pond without you pushing him, you used one of your powers, telekinesis."

Elysia looks down at her hands "But," Her mom continues, "You haven't mastered this power, so it's very difficult to use until you get proper training." Her mother says

"Maybe.. my dad can train me?" She turns her head to look at her mom only to see her looking down at the floor, "You know what, no, I don't need him, I can train myself." "That's not how it works Elysia, listen, go get some sleep and we'll talk in the morning."

Elysia nods her head before walking into her room and lying down on her bed.

She thinks of all the possibilities of being a demigod before she soon fall into a dream.

She look around her to see central park destroyed, trees fallen to the ground, fire spread quickly across the grass.

A 7 foot figure appears infront of her causing her to fall back to the ground.

"Elysia, find the gem or all hope will be lost." The figure says before disappearing.

Elysia wakes up and it's the next morning.

She walks out into the living room to see a note of the table.

"Went to work a bit early today, love you, from mom."

Elysia smiles before grabbing her phone and calling Anna. "Hey Anna could we meet at the park, I have something to tell you."

Elysia arrives at central park to see Anna looking at the lake from the bridge.

Elysia runs to her, "I something very important to tell y-." Elysia is interrupted by Anna, "You're a demigod." Anna says as Elysia's jaw drops.

"How did you know?" Elysia moves in closer, "Because I'm one too." Elysia smiles and hugs Anna.

"Ok Anna, this may be too much to ask but I need your help to find a gem?" Elysia says as she pulls away from the embrace. "Is that really a question?"

Elysia and Anna walk into Elyisa's apartment and sit on the couch opening a book.

"Considering what that figure told you the gem should be in the Ephemeral Realms, that's where most of the Gods live... one of the exceptions is Hades,we have to return the gem to Hades in the underworld or else..."

"Or else what?" Elysia says anxiously.

"Him and his children will destroy the world." Anna says as she turns to face Elysia.

"So does that mean?" Elysia says.

"We're going on a quest to the Ephemeral Realm."

Wanted to write an extra chapter since it was the first day the book was out. but next 12/29/23 (Friday) at 7:00Pm Eastern Standard Time is really when Chapter 3 will be released.

Chapter 3 is where the action really starts.
