Junior high school student Jacqueline Ann Cassidy, 17, a resident of Star City, West Virginia, was reported missing on January 29, 2019. Jacqueline is the future valedictorian of Lake West High School. With a cumulative grade point average of 3.95, she plans to attend Penn State University in hopes of becoming a lawyer. Her dreams, however, are less likely to come true due to her "random" disappearance. On September 25, 2019, her home was broken into. Star City Police Department refused to address the severe matter by not thoroughly searching for the culprit. The negligence led to Jacqueline's disappearance. How are we as citizens supposed to have faith in the distribution of tax dollars when our police department doesn't care about the city and its citizens? Detective Adam Wesly handles Jacqueline's disappearance and has yet to have a suspect in custody. Until Jacqueline returns home safely and the perpetrator is arrested, no one is safe in Star City as the culprit is still out there. Any one of us could be next.
