As I stood in the middle of King's Cross with a family friend who had been my nanny since my parents death, Anne, my lower abdomen started going crazy. Every time I'd see a muggle board their train my heart skipped a beat knowing that'd be me in a matter of time.
"C'mon then, darling." Anne pulled me out of my thoughts as she placed her hand on my shoulder, urging me on. She was only a few years older than my parents who were both 45 when they died. She dressed in clothes that a muggle would consider 'grandma-clothes' or old fashion.
As we started walking I looked down at my ticket to read what platform we board the train on. 'Platform 9 3/4' in silver writing was on it. I looked up to what one we were currently on and looked back down to re-read it.
"Anne, it says platform nine and three-quarters. That's not right is it?" My voice full of confusion as my french accent shone through my words. I turned my head to face her as we continued to walk, a sly smirk on her face.
As we rounded the corner, in between 9 and 10 was a family full of red heads. Absolute chaos it was as the mother was yelling at two boys that were exactly identical, a young shy girl stood next to her.
As we neared closer to them, the two identical boys ran through the wall. I stood there, gobsmacked. "Que diable" I mumbled as I watched in a trance. Another boy ran through who seemed about my age. Just as the young girl was about to run through, the mother looked up at us. (What on earth)
"Anne!" She said full of excitement as she swerved around the little ginger. She dressed the exact same as my nanny as she waddled over to us, instantly wrapping her arms around her.
"Molly, this is Amélie and Louis's daughter." Molly turned her attention to me. She gave me a sympathetic smile as she held me in a tight yet comforting hug.
"Oh Bea." She sighed slightly. Suddenly the little girl poked her head around her mum as she held her mouth in a tight line. Molly placed her hands on her daughters shoulders as she introduced her. "Bea, this is Ginny. She is new, just like you except she's a first year."
"Hi, Ginny." I said quietly as she returned the greeting. Molly looked up at one of the clocks hanging above us.
"Quick, Quick! Hurry on now!" Molly said as all four of us took turns going through the wall. I closed my eyes as tight as I could when I started running through it, I held my breath until the temperature changed around me. I opened my eyes to see a crowd full of people and teenagers until my attention was taken away by a rat running across my feet.
I squealed loud and jumped back, bumping into someone behind me. As I turned around quickly to apologise my gaze landed on his hair. It was blonde, but a white-blonde. It caught my attention before my eyes dropped down to his face.
"I am so extremely sorry, are you okay? There was a rat that scared me." The boy gave me the foulest glare as I apologised, making me finish my sentence quietly from intimidation. Suddenly, he turned away from me as he gave me one last scowl. "Well he was nice wasn't he?" I said to my owl sarcastically.
I turned back around to Anne, telling me to leave my luggage and owl over where a man was standing. As I came back over to my nanny, I gave her a hug, telling her that I'll write to her and I'll see her again before she knows it.
Before I was about to walk away to enter the train, she grabbed my wrist. "I hope you get into one of your parents houses, even maybe mine" She said as she chuckled. I gave me her a reassuring smile, indicating I hope I do as well.
As I was boarding the Hogwarts Express, I heard Mrs Weasley yell out one of her sons name, she ran up beside the train with a rat held above her. "Ron, Ron!" She caught up to him as he was hanging out the window. "Oh for goodness sake. Don't loose him!" She whined as she pointed her finger straight between his eyes.
I walked down the crowded corridor, looking for an empty booth. Students inside them were laughing and catching up, other booths had students that were quiet and tired.
I crossed my arms, trying to comfort myself hoping that there would be a spare booth left. I was nearing the end of the corridor. "Putain.." I whispered to myself. Just as I neared the end, blonde hair caught my attention. No, it wasn't just any blonde hair, it was the same hair that caught my attention before. (fuck..)
My steps became shorter as I looked at him, slowing myself down so I could get a good look. His fully black suit contrasted his fair skin and light hair.
I looked at the two boys sitting across from him, they were snickering to each other as they shoved chocolate frogs into their mouths. I took one last glance back at him before I couldn't. His gaze met with mine.
