His gaze met with mine. It caught me off guard as I snapped my head foreword. I picked my pace up, there were only three booths left until the end. I crossed my fingers praying there was one unoccupied.

One booth was completely full of students that looked like seventh years, my chances aren't looking good. That was until the next compartment had someone I recognised. I knocked on the window as curtsy before sliding the door open.

"Béa! Je ne t'ai pas vu depuis si longtemps!" Juliette jumped up out of her seat, a large smile formed on my face. I wrapped my arms around her in a tight hug, then letting go to see her friend. "Cho, this is my friend, Béatrice." (I haven't seen you in so long!)

"Please, call me Béa." I gave Cho a small smile as I sat down next to Juliette.

"I'm guessing you were a Beauxbaton girl as well?" Cho asked as she looked between my friend and I.

"Yes, I was there for two years, Juliette was a ballerina just like me. That's how we know each other." Juliette was a year older than me, she left last year to transfer to Hogwarts. We were both Beauxbaton ballet dancers, her being my mentor.

"Oh my gosh, Béa! There were rumours going around that you fought Beaumont and got suspended, you know I actually can't believe even now that you left they still bitch about you!" Juliette was muttering disgraceful words about the girls in french before she continued. "And apparently she got like, a concussion because you slammed her into a wall. You wouldn't do anything like that though so I told them to shove their lies where the sun doesn't shine!"

Juliette really was a good friend, even at Beauxbaton when my mother died she was always there to stand up for me, just like a big sister. I looked down at my dirty converses, I was trying so hard not to smile but I couldn't hold it in. I turned back to her with a sly grin, "No way. There's absolutely no way." She caught onto my smile as she playfully smacked me in the arm.

"Oh my gosh, Dalacroix! You actually fought her?!" I nodded slightly trying to control my laughter. "Well, for the record she deserved it. I mean, she'd always give you shit for your mother and then your father."

"So you're in the third year now?" Cho kicked her legs up, making herself comfortable for the long train ride.

"Yeah, are you?" She nodded, I smiled. I felt less uncomfortable know that I knew someone in my year group. "What houses are you two in?"

"We're both Ravenclaws" Juliette piped up. "What house do you think you'll be sorted into?"

"Well my mother was a Ravenclaw and my father Gryffindor. I'd be surprised if I got anything else." I looked between them both until Cho spoke up.

"Whatever house you get can be hereditary, take the Weasleys for example. Maybe you will get sorted into your parents house." She shrugged. "But, maybe your little fight you had changes things." Great.

All three of us fell into an easy conversation, the two girls telling me about students. It felt nice to be the one gossiping and not the one having gossip about.

"Oh and there's this guy, Draco Malfoy, that absolutely hates them. If I'm being honest he hates everyone." Cho scoffed as she mentioned him.

"I don't know what stick he has up his ass but I would stay away from him either way." She started rambling about how rude the Slytherin house is.

Juliette and I laughed at her. "If I get Slytherin, I wont act like I have a stick up my ass." I joked, all three of us fell into a fit of giggles.
