Story 1 - Rae and the Piano

** This story takes place days after Rae got hired as a maid.

** Rae's POV

One sunny weekend, I was walking on the school halls from the teachers office.

"I can't believe I had to stay in school on a weekend! Just because I'm top of the class, doesn't mean they can make me do mundane tasks."

For context, the teachers made me stay this weekend to help with some paperwork. Claire-sama had to meet Dole-sama so currently she's not here. Even though I want to desperately go with her, I can't disobey the teachers.

"I'm already drained of my daily dose of Clairium. Come back soon, Claire-sama!!"

I frustratingly screamed to myself.

"At least Lene is with her she won't be lonely, no matter how frustrating that thought is"

Only a handful of students are left at the dorms. Misha went out to town as well.

"Sigh, might as well wait at the dorms and read a book till she comes back."

I thought to myself as I walked towards the dorms. However, I stopped at my tracks when I noticed one of the rooms with a piano.

"Oh it's the music room. Was somebody just here? They haven't closed the fallboard of the piano, how careless of them."

I went inside the room and approached the piano.

"Now that I think of it, there was a side quest in the game that if you perfected one of the songs available, you would get a special cut-scene with one of your love interests."

I sat down on the piano stool and touched the keys.

"I was able to play the piano after practicing like crazy just to achieve the cut-scene with Thane-sama."

I played a few notes.

"Claire-sama was in that cut-scene really angry that I could play a duet with Thane-sama's harp. Her reaction was so adorable."

I chuckled to myself.

"Might as well play one song to kill time. Claire-sama won't be back until much later anyways. Now which song to play."

I thought for a bit and then remembered one of the songs that I played the most.

"Would be nice if Claire-sama would listen to me to play, I can only imagine heh..."

I cracked my knuckles and placed my fingers on the keyboard.

"Okay here we go..."

I started playing the piano to this song... not knowing someone will overhear me...
