"Don't worry about it Mrs. Rynn, I'll have my pilot fly for you and bring you here and my apartment is big enough to fit you. It will be all taken care of, so if you want to be here just say a word" Charles said to Diana's mother on the phone after she stated she would want to be there when her daughter will be found.

"We'd like that, thank you. And we have to bring our dog, Amber. I still can't believe this is happening. My poor little baby..." She cried from the moment Charles broke the news and didn't seem to stop.

"Amber is also welcome in my home. You can start packing your things, my pilot will be there in about two hours. And Mrs. Rynn, please try not to worry too much. I know this is a shock but police is already looking for her. Try to stay positive, okay?" Charles tried to cheer Diana's mom up, but nothing seemed to help.

"Easier said than done. I still have to call her manager so he could take care of her contracts. I'll see you in the evening, right?"

"Of course, I'll meet you in my place, someone will drive you from the airport to my apartment. Have a safe flight"

Charles hung up the phone and took a deep breath. Pascale was by his side all the time, holding his shaky hand as he tried to explain to Diana's mother that her daughter is missing. It was probably the hardest conversation in his life, even the information about his father's or Jules' death was easier to process. Not knowing what happened to someone is much worse that being certain someone's dead.

"Thanks for being here for me, mom. It means the world to me" He said kissing Pascale's hand.

"It's my job to support you honey. Also, I've been thinking and maybe I'll stop by your place and cook something for you and Diana's parents later? I can tell you haven't been eating and I don't think they'll have anything after what they just found out" Pascale offered and Charles chuckled.

"You are a godsend, mom. Thank you"

They said their goodbyes and Charles immediately called his pilot to send him to London. After that, he went home, pulled out videos from the cameras around his house from the day of Diana's disappearance and dropped them off at the police station like he promised. While he was there, he asked about any news on the case, but they didn't have anything yet.

The only thing that was left was to tidy up his place a little because since Diana's been gone he didn't care about leaving trash all over. Empty water bottles on the counter, clothes on the floor and chocolate bar wrappers basically everywhere made the apartment look awful.

He was just finishing up when the door bell rang. Charles put the last clothes in the washing machine and tried to think about any appropriate way to greet Diana's parents.

"Hi, welcome in" He smiled at them when he opened the door.

"Thanks for having us, Charles. It means a lot" Diana's dad offered him a hand to shake, which Charles gladly accepted. "Any alcohol in this house?"

"Whisky, if that's okay Mr. Rynn"

Charles pulled out a glass and a bottle from the cabinet in the kitchen. He understood the need to drown out the feelings. He wanted to do the same, but he kept himself away from the alcohol to have a clear mind in case the police needed his help. He wouldn't be of any use if he blacked out on the couch.

"My name's Harry. And the whisky is absolutely okay"

"Mrs. Rynn, would you like some?" Charles asked while handing Diana's father the glass.

"No, thank you. I'm not much of a drinker. And please, call me Erica. There's no point in formality" She smiled weakly without taking her eyes off of Amber.
