Chapter 5: Going Back

Meanwhile, a man was examining a part that he can buy.

Man: The valve is worn, it's not worth twenty. I'll give you ten.

Owner: I got people who work for me. Twenty or no deal.

Man: I'll give you five and I'll fix your register for free.

He agrees as he fixes the cash register, and a receipt comes out and he takes it.

Owner: Gracias.

He walks out as he gets into a car and drives off. While driving the man's face is changed back into Reed. He arrives at an old, abandoned house. In there he has made his own suit, with multiple computers, he goes on there and brings up a file of Ben. He looks on the board and sees multiple newspaper clippings of Ben. He then brings up a blueprint of a Quantum Gate that he is making that can transport one person. Meanwhile, Sue finds something on a relay.

Sue: Captain Nemo. That's him. He's routing his e-mails through this relay.

Military Tech: Got him.

Franklin: You did what you had to do.

Dr. Allen then goes to Ben's room.

Dr. Allen: Hi Ben. We've got another project for you. I think you're gonna like this one.

Reed is working on his car as his computer gets an alert of two helicopters approaching. Reed runs as he goes into a clearing and multiple soldiers land on the ground aiming at him.

Solider 1: Freeze!

Solider 2: Do not move!

Reed uses his powers to fight the military.

Solider 3: Get down on the ground!

He uses his stretching ability to avoid the gunshots as he knocks out all the soldiers.

Ben then lands on the ground much to Reed's shock.

Reed: Oh, my God. Ben!

Ben: So, this is where you've been hiding out.

Ben approaches him as Reed backs up.

Reed: Wait, stop. Okay, let me explain.

Ben hits a tree breaking it.

Ben: Why?

Reed: I'm no good to you, to anyone. This is all my fault.

Ben: That, we can agree on.

Ben headbutts him and knocks him out. The plane then goes back to the USA as Reed and Ben are in Cargo Bay. Reed is stuck in a glass container.

Reed: Does it hurt?

Ben: I'm used to it.

Reed: I'm sorry.

Ben: That's what you said when you left.

Reed: I'm going to fix this.

Ben: You can't fix this. Nobody can.

Reed: I promise you, I'm going to fix this.

Ben: I stopped believing in your bullshit a long time ago.

Reed: You were my best friend.

Ben looks at him angrily.

Ben: Look at me. I'm not your friend. You turned me into something else.

They arrive at Area 57 as they are greeted by Dr. Allen.

Dr. Allen: Nice work, Ben!

Reed is brought to an interrogation room as Sue and Y/N enter.

Sue: Hey, Reed.
