They saved Earth from Megatron, a tyrant feared for his strength and cruelty. They got field experience from being there, helping and learning, but still, they couldn't do this. A mission. A project. For Science, of all things. Ioana had to refrain from face-palming.

      - A few minutes before -

"Optimus, why so gloomy?" Ratchet asked the quiet Autobot leader, approaching the mech next to the Ground Bridge. "This planet - all planets - are finally free from Megatron's tyranny." the medic said happy.

"I do not disagree, Ratchet. It's just... A small part of me hoped to change Megatron's mind, not extinguish his spark." Optimus said, sounding quite upset about the Decepticon leader's fate.

"Optimus, his vileness was not slain by your hand but by his own twisted arrogance!" Ratchet tried to reason, but he might have gone a bit too far, as he got in response a growl-like sigh from the mech. "I'm sorry. I know the two of you had quite a history." the medic quickly said, and guilt colored his voice a bit.

"But the Megatron whom I once fought beside perished eons ago, the day he chose to become a Decepticon." Optimus reasoned. Then he added, going back to his 'leader' personna. "The Decepticons may be in disarray, but they aren't without leadership. And while Starscream is no Megatron, he is far from predictable."

And just as he finished, an explosion resounded through the base, shaking the entire hide-out from it's foundation.

"Decepticons! We're under attack!" Ratchet shouted shocked and panicking.

The two mechs rushed to the other side of the room, from were the explosion came.

- Back to present -

To their astonishment, there were no Decepticons. Just Bee, Tamara and Rafael working on their project. At least what was left of it.

"It's no attack, Ratchet." Ioana finally approached the three trouble magnets. "Just their volcano. Or what's left of it." she eyed the brown and red rimmed pile of earth, that slowly melted.

"Whoopsie!" came from Ale when the 'red spot' of Jupiter made contact with the floor, from too much paint on the paint brush.

"What. In the Allspark. Is going on in here?" the medic finally put himself together.

"Our projects are due today." Jack explained, gesturing to his own project that he had to make with Ioana. He stood next to an unfinished yellow motorcycle.

"Maybe it needs one of these doohickeys." Arcee said from beside him, lifting her servo in which she held a piece for the motor.

"You're a motorcycle, Arcee. Shouldn't you know how to build a motorcycle engine?" Jack asked.

 This time, Ioana did face-palm.

"You're a human, Jack. Can you build me a small intestine?" Arcee retorted.

"Ohhh! Arcee 1, Jack 0!" Ale leaned over the railing to laugh at them.

"Well, you can't work on these projects in here. You're making a mess." Ratchet got their attention.

"But the science fair's a big part of our grade." Raf said, giving the mech a kicked puppy look.

"Yeah, if Bulkhead doesn't help us finish this model of our solar system-" Miko continued, but was interrupted by Ratchet.
