Charlie tries to follow Babe close enough to be there in case of trouble but far enough away so that the other alpha can't sense him. It isn't easy with Babe's heightened senses. He had easily caught Charlie the very first day they had met because Charlie had tried to follow him too close. He had made up the excuse of wanting to borrow Babe's car at that time but today he has to be more careful.

Babe is already upset with him, he doesn't need to make the situation worse by letting the alpha know he had been following him, even if it's for his own protection.

Charlie turns the corner just in time to see some men attacking Babe. Giving up all pretense of stealth Charlie sprints to the group and places himself between Babe and the men, protecting the other alpha with his own body. He tried not to flinch too much at the pain while the men hit him because Babe is staring right up at him. Just when he isn't sure how much more he can take the men are scared off by a pair of policemen.

"Are you alright?" Babe asks Charlie. Charlie doesn't think anything is broken but he feels very battered and bruised. He refuses to go to the hospital for now, he can't be the reason Babe misses this race. It's important that Babe wins this one.

"P'Babe what happened?" The little omega Babe had introduced as Rain the other day cries when he sees the two of them. "And P'Charlie too. Who did this? Tell me and they are dead."

"I'm okay Raindrop. I don't know who they were, they attacked me, and Charlie came to assist." Babe says. "I'm okay but he refuses to go to the hospital."

Charlie waves this off but he is distracted by the omega with Rain. "Sky?"

Sky looks between Charlie and Jeff who is standing a few feet away, he goes very pale.

"Rain, I'm sorry I have to go." Sky says turning and leaving the garage area.

Charlie nods at Jeff and he says, "Sky wait." He runs to catch up with the omega while Rain looks after them surprised.

Charlie turns himself back to the conversation at hand. The team is arguing if the men could have been sent by Red Racing or even by Tony. Babe seems to believe the latter and Charlie can tell the thought makes him very angry, Charlie only hopes he won't do something stupid.

Jeff catches up with Sky outside the track. "Sky." Sky looks at him, obviously scared. "You are safe here, Sky, I promise."

"How are you here? And P'Charlie?" Sky says, "He's not here too, is he?"

"Honestly, I don't know where Gun is, but no I haven't seen him since that night. Are you alright?" Jeff asks.

Sky sighs, "I am better. I should thank you two, I guess. You saved my life."

Jeff shakes his head, "I just wish I would have known what was happening sooner. I am sorry for what he put you through."

Sky nods and says, "Tell Rain I will get a cab back to the condo, that I wasn't feeling well all of a sudden."

"I will, take care of yourself, Sky. Come see me or Charlie if you need to talk. Oh can you do us a favor and not tell Rain how you know us, please?" Jeff says.

"I haven't told anyone about what happened. I don't intend to start. I'm not even sure if anyone would believe me, how many people know people like you and Gun exist." Sky says, "Although Rain is my friend, is he in danger?"

"Charlie and I are trying to keep everyone safe," Jeff says. "That's all I can reveal or promise for now. You know Charlie, he is very protective of those he cares about."

Sky nods and goes to hail a cab.

Jeff goes back in and sees Rain questioning Charlie about the attack. Babe is already in his car preparing to begin the race. Jeff gives Rain Sky's message.
