That night Ellie, Lake, Rosa Maria and Drew decided to stay over to keep an eye on Tom, who was still horrified by what they had found out, they all knew, especially Drew and Ellie, how close Tom was to Jake, and the thought of him sending those threatening letters was probably devastating.
Considering that the last time they were together, the last time Jake was seen at the cabins, was when they had an argument about the radio.

Ellie entered Tom's room along with Lake to check up on him, Tom was sitting on his bed, hand holding his forehead, he was scared of what could happen, the possibilities on how Jake could've possibly sent those letters are endless.

Ellie:Tom, you okay?

Tom looked up, he calmed down when he saw who the voice belonged to.

Tom:I'm fine i guess, but still surprised by what happened..

Ellie:Yeah.. We can tell.

Lake:Are you coming to eat dinner?

Tom:I'll reach you guys soon, you can go ahead and eat without me.

Lake:Are you sure?

Tom nodded, Lake only gave a small smile and walked away along with Ellie.

Ellie:Are we sure that he'll be fine?

Lake:I know, he seemed to be the closest to Him out of everyone..

Ellie:Oh believe me, him and Jake were very close to each other.

Lake:Were they a couple? Not to assume of course!

Ellie:Well sort of? Not exactly since they weren't together but they seemed to like each other a lot in that way.

Lake:Alright, i'm so sorry that they had to be separated like this.

Ellie:Yeah, at first we though that he was still alive but then Fiore told us what happened to him..

Lake:The little girl?

Ellie:Yeah, apparently she had witnessed Jake getting drowned to death by someone and didn't say anything about it until Alec died.

Lake:Oh.. How did he take the news when she told you guys?

Ellie:You can figure that out yourself.. But he almost harmed Fiore for not telling us way before about the previous victims taking us out as well, we held him down of course because she's still a child despite being evil, i wouldn't blame his reaction though, i would've done the same since Gabby was also..

Lake:I'm so sorry to hear all of this!

Ellie:It's okay don't worry about it, let's just go eat dinner now.

Lake:I guess.. But if you guys need to talk, me and Rosa are always here to help you, including the others, we went through all of this together and it's just right that we help each other through this hard time.

Lake laid a hand on Ellie's shoulder, they both smiled as they hugged each other.

Ellie:Thank you Lake, we're here for you too.

Lake:Of course, let's go eat now, for real this time.

Meanwhile Tom had accidentally fallen asleep through all of this panic, he ended up dreaming about a dark forest, he was holding a flashlight, he began to walk deeper in the forest for a bit before he saw a stage, then he saw a figure standing there, of a tanned lady with strings attached to all her limbs, she looked down at Tom and smiled widely, she spoke as her arm twisted to the curtains.
