* *After Lucy told Luna everything, the blonde girl sat for a while looking into the distance. They had started their assignment for Potions and Snape had left them to their own devices, giving Lucy time to whisper everything as they gathered ingredients and began preparing the potion.
"Well, Lucy, does this make you feel like you will turn out bad like your birth mother?" Luna asks dreamily. Lucy thinks about it for a moment then shakes her head.
"No, of course not. I'm a good person, I have amazing friends and amazing parents." Lucy says matter of factly, smiling at Luna now.
Luna just nods and continues to stir the potion as instructed, but a small smile rests on her face for the rest of the class.
Lucy stands to go grab one more thing when she nearly bumps into none other than Theodore Nott.
"Twice in a day, Lucy?" Theodore mutters, stepping aside so she can walk past him. Lucy's name was foreign on his tongue, something he rarely, if ever, used to her face. Lucy noticed it too, and looked at him strangely.
"Well, this time you were in my way," Lucy says, looking back at him as she walks to grab the last ingredient they needed. She had shrugged off her robes and her skirt was shorter than Theodore had noticed before.
Bloody hell. Theo thought to himself, tearing his eyes away from Lucy quickly.
Lucy walked back to her and Luna's table, noticing that Theodore was just standing there in the same spot, staring at her as she walked. He finally walked back to his table, sitting with Draco of course.
Snape approaches Harry now, his table directly beside Lucy's. She watches with frustration as Snape ridicules her friend for not doing a part of the potion instructions right, reprimanding him and getting rid of the progress he had made.
Lucy feels her heart sadden for the boy again. He was clutching his wand tightly in his hand, and looked thoroughly unhappy.
"I expect a foot of the importance of..." Snape starts, but Lucy ignores him and leans over slightly to whisper to Harry.
"Now I see what everyone meant earlier." She mumbles, smiling, though only slightly. Harry just nods curtly, though gives Lucy an appreciative smile.
When Potions finally ends, Lucy departs with Harry, Ron, and Hermione, who are all going to Defense against the dark arts. She says goodbye to Luna, who has transfiguration now.
They enter the hallway, which is filled with students of all sizes, and Lucy smiles at the sight.
"I love it here," she says, smiling at Hermione. Hermione smiles back and nods. "We all do, I think. Maybe not so much Ron," she grins, giving Ron a swift eye roll.
Lucy side steps as three first years run to avoid Harry, their eyes wide and to the ground. "They could make it more obvious that they are terrified of you, you know," Lucy giggles, looking over at Harry as he just shakes his head.
When the four of them make it to defense against the dark arts, Lucy immediately notices how prim and proper it looks in their usual chaotic classroom. Her eyebrows furrow and she looks over at Hermione, who also seems confused. "The woman has turned the class into a muggle classroom," Lucy mumbles, going and finding a seat towards the middle of the room. Hermione Ron and Harry join her, sort of just sitting down and not saying anything to each other.
