As Dark Meta Knight storms through loads of Bronto Burts, he spots Shadow Kirby. Closely, yet carefully, Shadow Kirby uses his warp star and closes in on Dark Meta Knight.

Shadow Kirby: ...

However, before Shadow Kirby could do anything, Dark Meta Knight had already reached the Dimensional Mirror, and just like that, he'd vanished.

Meanwhile, Kirby was resting under a tree, he had just eaten 50 chocolate apples and 5 apartment complexes. He was just about to enter a sweet dream before Bandana Dee interrupted his sleep.

Bandana Dee: Kirby! Wake up!

Kirby slowly opens his eyes.

Bandana Dee: His Majesty King Dedede has invited you to a royal ball! It's VERY important!

Kirby looks intrigued, but isn't convinced.

Bandana Dee: They'll have cake! and you HAVE to be there by.....

Without even listening to the rest, Kirby dashes over to Mt. Dedede.

Bandana Dee: ...Midnight.

Over the skies of Dreamland, The Halberd watches. After Meta Knight's failure in eradicating laziness, the Halberd has been flying to protect Dreamland from any outside dangers, usually from either the sky or space. 

Axe Knight: Sir Meta Knight! We've received a letter from King Dedede. 

Meta Knight grabs the letter from Axe Knight. it was fairly small, and sent by "Kabula Mail"

"Hello, Meta Knight, You are formally invited to the Royal Ball at King Dedede's castle. You will be expected to arrive at midnight tonight, May 2, ???."

Mace Knight: Shall we set a course for Mt. Dedede?

Meta Knight: No, That won't be necessary. We're not going.

Javelin Knight: But Sir, the king ordered our arrival.

Meta Knight: We have more important things to do. 

Trident Knight: I suppose Dreamland is in constant danger.
