"Wilde, 3.2" Professor Kreig announced. A big sigh escaped from my mouth. Yes! I finally can breathe properly and I sure will give Dani a bone crushing hug for bearing with my crappy study habits when it came to Chemistry.
"Oliver, my man! So you passed?" Xavier asked while we walked out of the lab.
"Yeah." I smiled widely then went back to calling Dani. "Thanks to Dani, bro." I shrugged.
He laughed and nudged me. "Speaking of Danielle, would you be a good friend and give me her number?" He smirked. His phone ready.
I gave him a small smile. "Ask for something that I can actually give then we'll talk." then walked faster to fetch Dani from her Lit class.
Moron.
When I arrived, students were already piling out of the lecture hall. Great, how will I see her with this crowd?
"Hey, Oliver." I heard a squeaky voice said, I turned around to see Nicole, she's also in Dani's class.
"Hey, Nic. Have you seen Dani?" I asked, still looking around.
Her eyebrows furrowed, "I actually am gonna ask you that question too. I thought she was with you. She didn't attend the class, and she loves Professor Bailey. She wouldn't miss this lecture for the world." Every word she said made me confused and nervous. Dani do not skip her classes, especially lit. She will never do that.
I checked my watch.
8:07 PM
Maybe she didn't feel well and went home, I convinced myself.
"Really? Thanks, Nic. I'll just go...find her." I smiled at her, she just nodded and asked me to inform her if I get a hold of Dani.
I called her again and again but no one answered.
So I called Andi instead, her roommate.
"Yo,Oliver." She answered immediately.
"Is Dani there?" I asked, I was still roaming around the campus in hopes of finding her somewhere.
"Not anymore," she answered. I can hear her munching on something.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, she went out about an hour ago. She actually acted so weirdly." Andi explained, at this point I ran to my car and drove.
"Did she say where she was going?" I sped out of the University.
"Nope,she was dressed up though. Maybe she's finally going on a date, " she said nonchalantly.
"What?"
"Come on Oliver, Dani's a pretty girl," she replied laughing
Oh, don't I know that?
I drove aimlessly still looking around.
"You're worried aren't you?" Andi stated. I sighed.
Danielle doesn't just disappear on me like this. She always let's me know what she's up to and if not, I can definitely get a hold of her. I can call her anytime and know where she is. I don't know what's happening right now, it makes me nervous.
"She's a big girl, she can handle herself. She's alright, I give you my word. Just go home and take a rest Oliver." Andi knows. Andi knows where Dani is. Something must be really up for her not to tell me.
"Yeah, sure. Thanks Ands." I lied,
I sent so many texts and called Dani so many times but still nothing.
