A bit of explanation: He has conditions for it to work. Once you fulfill his conditions, anything he writes in his book, called Author's Idyll.
His conditions: the book is a ruse. If the pen he holds touches you at all, he's fulfilled 1 of 4 conditions. The second is that he has to be able to see you. The third is he must write your first and last name. The fourth is he must use it within 30 minutes of the pen touching the victim.
example: if he were to draw on Hisoka's hand, then pull out Author's Idyll and write his name while being able to see Hisoka, he'd be able to do whatever.

Born in Zaban City on 1/1, Kei Akashira was the oldest of 6 children. His parents, Mitsuba Akashira and her husband Hoshi Akashira, were horribly abusive. Kei was commonly unfed and thirsty, and was beaten for every mistake. He had 13 scars covering his body by the time he was 8. When he was 11, Hoshi was fed up and made Kei watch as he killed his youngest brother, Kishinu Akashira. On Kei's 12th birthday, his mother, Mitsuba, misinterpreted his answer as backtalk, and made him watch as she killed his younger sister, Mitsuri Akashira. Months later, while Kei was still 12, Hoshi had come home extremely drunk and found pleasure in the form of his daughter's body. Kei found them, and to keep Kei from telling his mother, he killed Miwa. The next year, when Kei was 13. His father, without reason, killed his younger brother, Todo. 14 year old Kei found his brother's body hanging from the ceiling with a note reading: 'don't forget to make us dinner again.' In Hoshi's handwriting. 3 years later, a severely scarred, mostly inflicted by his parents but many self-inflicted, Kei heard his parents, on December 29th, talking about kicking him out when he turned 18, since he would no longer help them with tax benefits in the country they lived in. He snapped, and mercilessly tore their throats out. The only body he hadn't buried was his twin brother's, since he couldn't bear to see the body again. He grew out and dyed his hair, getting a job as an editor. The police and other authorities started searching for Kei Akashira, so he forged legal documents to make his ID's say Kazuya Kuroshio. The story of the Akashira murders and the only living family member being the eldest son rose suspicion, many people across the globe who heard the story coming to the conclusion that he had murdered his entire family, and buried them in the same spot. He faked a resume, landed a terrible job as a book editor, and was given housing based on government benefits. He went to order food for a few days at his favorite restaurant, accidentally ending up in the Hunter Exam.
