a/n: during early udaariyaan days- where priyankit are becoming closer slowly
another heads up, the people and friends of priyankit are solely based on the time they were close to them, like for example when i write a bb oneshot i use archana because she was close to them during that time even though they aren't friends now - the same with abhishek and isha during udaariyaan oneshots! you might even see shiv in some oneshots if i have a few ideas for the days of early big boss when they were friends- just a small reminder because even i don't like half these people but it's solely for the sake of the oneshot and to be realistic :)

priyanka had always been allured towards ankit, she didn't know why but something in his calm, reserved and charming nature had caused an instant liking towards him. it was true that priyanka always looked for the best in people, even if they didn't click with one another, she would still be cordial. her first interaction with ankit was brief, she had rattled on and given him a long introduction to which he merely replied with a witty compliment for her jawline - one she holds dear.
yet she got tired of his sullen and broody nature, and after a week of knowing him she deduced that they wouldn't be able to vibe together much. so she didn't make as many efforts as before such as going out of her way to talk and help him, but then again she didn't completely leave him either. she would still talk to him even if half the times she didn't get any response from him, but slowly she started getting past the initial hums and grunts stage and actually got coherent words and sentences - though they were brief it was still a victory.
soon enough, he started having conversations with her and would allow her to eat with him during their meals. she had broken some of his barriers down already, and he had opened up to the rest of the castmates such as abhishek and abhiraj, as well as shared a good bond with them as well. though she still considered him 'khadoos' he had become pyaara for her and she felt the closest with him.

ankit didn't know why he had let her in the way he did, he supposes it's because she just bustled into his life by herself without any permission. he used to grow irritated at her persistant attempts to talk to him, at first he had been nice because he didn't want to get off on the wrong foot with his co-star, but after a bit of time he was grew annoyed and told her quite rudely that he preferred to stay alone.
she had drawn back a bit and it was something he noticed. she was still herself and would talk to him at every chance and laugh as loud as possible, but it wasn't with the prior eagerness to interact with him and he felt guilty.
he didn't know why.
this was perfect, he had a good relationship with his co-stars and priyanka had accepted that he liked distance and now didn't go out of her way to talk to him which gave him more space. he should be happy but he felt bad inside. what was more confusing was that, he had done the same with the group of guys but he didn't feel any of this when it was them.
priyanka was different.
from the start he felt this weird pull towards her bright smile, confectious laugh and shining eyes. she was a warm and genuine person inside and out, and he secretly admired her for it. this struck the urge for him to actually try and fix whatever limbo they were in, leading him to take the intiative to talk to her for the first time.
after a couple of minutes of searching, he found her laughing with abhishek and isha, during their break and abhishek found him immediately and called him towards the group. all three of them didn't actually expect him to come towards them, as they were used to hearing the 'carry on' response, leading him to stun all of them- especially priyanka since he had his eyes on her as he joined the trio.
