*Teyana's POV*
I opened the door gently, just to look down and see Leah sitting next to the door on her phone. The second she herd the door open her eyes flew to the door, I could tell because she was staring.
"Wow, you look like shit," Leah said with a smile stretched on her face.
"You are sooo kind," I replied sarcastically, returning the smile.
Leah stands up, tossing me the keys.
"Your driving, I'm too hungover,"
I sighed, taking the keys before walking out of our apartment to the elevator, Leah followed behind me as I clicked the 1st floor button.
We both sat in the elevator, waiting patiently until the door opened. We walked out the building, not a word came out of either of our mouths.
Leah and I headed tords the parking lot, our car parked in the nearest spot. I opened the drivers door before getting in, Leah doing the same on the passengers side.
I started our toyota, driving it of the lot and on the freeway tords campus. Half way in the drive, I burst the bubble of silence in the worst way ever.
"Sooo... what's your favorite color?" I asked jokingly.
Leah burst out laughing before responding to my question. "Your so awkward I love that, also you know my favorite color is red,"
I chuckled, my eyes on the road even though I could feel her eyes were piercing through my soul.
"I never understood why you liked red so much? Why is that?" I asked curiously.
"Its the color of a lot of things I love, lipstick, wine and blood, it's awesome." Leah told, Her voice still laced with laughter.
I didn't know what to say after that, we just sat there in awkward silence for the next few minutes. I parked into the parking lot of the college before getting out as we went inside.
I'm a law major so is she, shes always told me how she wished she could go to art school but her parents didn't let her. I always wanted to do law. I've been interested in that stuff since I was young.
Leah's mind always went to creativity, I wish her parents understood that. Law school was never want she saw in her future. In middle school, I could have never guessed Leah would be a lawyer.
We headed to our first class, walking through the halls with her, I noticed her boyfriend walking around. My smile slowly faded as Leah left to talk to him, I was gonna wait for them, but then again, I don't wanna sit there forever.
I left them in the hall, speed walking to class before walking in. The room echoing with each step I took, I was early for the first time in a while.
I sat near the back, saving a spot for Leah next to me. I took out my phone, notebook and pencil, waiting for the class to start. I scrolled on tik tok, passing time before realizing class started. I put away my phone as I began to take notes about the lecture.
Suddenly, I herd a huffed breath sit next to me. I turned my head just to see a tired Leah sitting next to me.
"Damn bitch! Did you fuck you boyfriend on the way?!" I yell in a quiet voice, trying not to pull attention to myself.
Leah giggled for a bit until she answered "I had to run here, I'm late right?" She asked.
I nodded, handing her my water bottle. She drank it quickly, almost chugging the whole bottle.
"I seriously don't know why this class is so far from the front door," She huffed, giving me back my water bottle.
I shoved the bottle in my backpack, "I know you would've liked liquor better but I didn't have time to pack any," I chuckled.
She burst out in laughter "You know me way too well," she said, trying to stop giggling.
I smiled as I continued to take notes. In the corner of my eye I see Leah take out her notebook and start doodling in it, as usual. I try to pay attention but then Leah taps me on the shoulder.
"Hm?" I ask in confusion.
"Hey, uh, y'know how we where gonna have movie night tonight?" She whispered.
I remember the text messages I saw this morning, instantly I knew what she was gonna say.
"Yeahhh? What about it?" I say.
"I can't go tonight, I have other plans, sorry," Leah muttered.
"Okay," I reply calmly.
She paused, the professors voice filling the room as she looked back at her paper, almost like she was pretending like she never said anything.
I sat there, taking notes every once and a while, my mind wandering off every time I wasn't. That whole time in class we didn't speak another word to eachother. The next thing I knew it was lunch, finally.
