"I wish Keeper was real!" Mary exclaimed suddenly, completely out of the blue.
Elizabeth glanced up at her friend from the book she was reading. It just so happened to be the sixth book of the Keeper of the Lost Cities series. Mary was rereading the fourth. "Me too Mar, but sometimes life sucks and you don't get what you wish for." Ever the level-headed one.
Mary huffed. "Sometimes? Really Liz? Life always sucks," she complained to her friend before going back to the book she was reading. Not five minutes later, she looked up again. "I'm boooooooored!" she groaned and threw Neverseen to the ground.
"You're always bored," Elizabeth deadpanned.
"No, you don't understand," Mar begged from her place on the opposite end of the black leather couch. "I'm actually really bored this time!"
"Hi, Actually Really Bored This Time," her friend joked, grinning behind her book. "My name is Done With Your Antics. Nice to meet you!"
Mary glared at her.
Elizabeth was so engrossed with her book that she didn't notice her friend quietly stalk up to her. She screamed when Nightfall was ripped from her hands and Mary tackled her to the carpeted, book-littered ground/
"You will acknowledge me!" she shouted maniacally and tickled her until she started tearing up.
"M-Mary!" Elizabeth squealed, taking in deep gasps of air. "St-stop it!" Eventually, she got Mary underneath her and began wiggling her fingers on her friend's sides. "Mwahaha!" Elizabeth wickedly laughed. "Now you know what it feels like!"
The two friends were too busy playing with each other to realize that their tears of laughter had gotten onto Mary's Neverseen book and were now glowing silver.
Mary was pinned to the floor when Elizabeth gasped. She looked up at the girl and realized Elizabeth looked like something had knocked the wind out of her. Mar stared horrified as her friend seemingly disintegrated on top of her.
She screamed when she felt a tug at her gut and felt herself and the space around her melt to nothing.
A/N: Hey y'all!! I'm baaaaaaaack!!! And with a new story too, how ironic. NOT!!! I missed y'all so much, I wish I could have written sooner but I got a new phone and the stupid thing wouldn't let me download anything! 😡😡😡
Anyways, I've gotten a lot better at writing and have a better schedule so I'll try to update every two weeks, a month at the latest, but no promises!
Love you Sweets! I'm so glad I'm back!
