Hermione looked at her Healer wide-eyed. It was her birthday, and she wasn't feeling very well at the celebrations. After vomiting for a second time, she had excused herself from the party and made an appointment at St. Mungos, which wasn't very difficult for one of the Heroes of war.

Her healer, Mrs. Cartmenis, had cast a diagnostic charm on her, and offered her a sympathetic but happy smile, then congratulated her for being pregnant. And now, she was in a daze. She was only 19 and she didn't even have a chance of restoring her parent's memory as International Portkeys took time to be arranged, even for a war hero.

But what troubled her the most was her baby's father. It was not her boyfriend Ron. She had ever been physical with only one person, and it had been her best friend- Harry Potter. She clearly remembered the date, 7th July - the day Voldemort had been defeated by the saviour of the Wizarding world. It had not been an easy win. They have lost many, including some whom they were very close to. Ron and Ginny had their family to lean on, and Harry and Hermione only had each other. It had felt just right, being intimate with Harry, looking into his emerald eyes filled with desire and love, as he made love to her.

They had felt ashamed the next day, not for being with one another, but for betraying their partners. Both she and Harry had been in relationship with youngest Weasleys. Harry had dated Ginny in their sixth year. He may have broken off with her at Dumbledore's safety, due to regards of her safety, but they had rekindled their relationship with a kiss when the trio had arrived at Hogwarts. She and Ron have also announced their relationship, that very day, with a kiss. Not her first one though. That like many firsts in her life, belonged to Harry. She doubted the green-eyed hero remembered it though. He had never talked about it again and she had dismissed it as him needing some form of comfort, after facing a large number of dementors.

She sometimes wondered if Harry ever felt trapped in his relationship with Ginny, like she did with Ron. It didn't seem like that, when she saw him with Ginny, though she doubted he would ever let it be seen. Harry was noble like that.

The Weasleys have done lots for them and she didn't want to repay their kindness with anything else. Her breath hitched as he thought of her boyfriend.

"Ron!' She gasped to herself, "What would he do when he finds out I am pregnant? He already felt shadowed by the image of Harry, even after being recognized as the Hero of the war. It will only seem to him like Harry taking one more thing from him."

With these thoughts, she exited the elevator when a movement caught her attention. She thought she saw a flash of ginger hair before everything went dark.

--------X-------

Ronald Billius Weasley was the sixth son of a poor wizarding family. Even after being part of the Sacred 28, they were looked down upon even worse than the Gaunts, who were at least not Blood-traitors, even though they were piss poor. He had been ecstatic when the boy-who-lived who he had shared the compartment in Hogwarts Express, had chosen his friendship over Malfoy's. Unfortunately, it came with its own setbacks. The Boy-who-lived, cast a shadow even larger than his brothers. He had tried his best to get some recognition, but in front of the youngest seeker of the century, the slayer of Slytherin's monster, the boy who faced a hundred dementors, the Triwizard champion and the chosen one, he was always overshadowed. It was the reason, he had chosen not to believe Harry when his name came out of Goblet of Fire. It was also the reason; he had asked his mother to brew Prewitt's family love potion which caused subtle feelings rather than immediate obsession to feed it to Hermione, when he found out Hermione fancied Harry and Harry fancied her back. His mother and Ginny were in when he showed them the dreams of being related to the Potters and living a luxurious life ever after with the help of vast Potter fortunes. He was happy when he was successful in planting feelings for him, in Hermione's mind, but it soured when he found out that even after being influenced by potions, Hermione always chose Potter over him. He had stormed out of their tent in rage, due to his failure in advancing his relationship with Hermione. He was very ecstatic when Hermione had kissed him back, in the Chamber of Secrets, and they had become a couple.
