Cramps.
That's what I woke up to this morning. I already know what cramps mean. They mean that my period is starting. This is just the perfect time for it to start! On the first day of my vacation in Italy! Note the sarcasm. I sit up in my bed only to realize that something is missing.
Angelo. He slept in my room last night saying "you need someone to stay while we are in a new country like this." Of course he said this. He says it every summer during the family vacations.
Where could he have gone? It's still morning. I look to the night stand to see my phone charging and I immediately check the time. It's 2:00 pm.
Close enough to morning. I yawn and get out of bed walking to the ensuite bathroom to shower, do my skin care, brush my teeth and change out of my pajamas.
When I come out of the bathroom I see Angelo sitting on the bed. I narrowed my eyes on him. Where has he been?
"I'm sorry Estelle, I had to go to a meeting with my parents and I wasn't expecting you to wake up before 2:30." He's right I don't Normally wake up before 2:30 during the summers. I have to get back the rest that I miss for the 9 months of school. But today my cramps woke me up and he wasn't here.
"I thought that this was a vacation not a business trip." I said, narrowing my eyes at him. The agreement was no meetings for the duration of this two month trip.
"Yes, that's what we agreed on but the don of the Italian Mafia wanted to have a dinner meeting tonight with his family and mine." he said as I walked into the closet to get dressed.
"What's the dinner meeting for?" I asked as I put on a bra, in Angelos favorite color. He walked into the closet and sat down in a chair while we continued to talk.
"I don't know I got distracted when a certain someone wouldn't text back." I narrowed my eyes at him
"Well at least I'll have the rest of the day and night to lounge around and then tomorrow we can go out and explore." I said while putting on my outfit.
