After defeating Kaido, the land of Wano rejoices by hosting a party in honor of the Straw Hat Pirates, Akazaya 9 (Nine Red Scabbards), and the Yakuza. Yamato attended the celebration as well, to celebrate her complete breakaway from her father. But when a mysterious stranger from an unknown land warns her that Luffy's actions have unleashed warriors that were 10x stronger than Kaido, along with vowing to help Luffy become Pirate King, she's faced with the ultimate decision: Stay and protect Wano, or go and explore the world with the Straw Hat Pirates

Our story begins shortly after Kaido's defeated, but right before Yamato's arrival to the Flower Capital where the festival was being held. As she was making her way to the capital she glanced over at the scrawny pirate sleeping on her shoulder. "Luffy...the kind of power you have is insurmountable," she thought to herself, "to weild such power is much like painting a target on your back. It won't be long until people get to come for it. I pray for your safety." Once she neared the Capital she noticed a thick fog slowly approaching her. Though it was natural occurrence in her area she was still somewhat skeptical. It soon turned to suspicion when she noticed the fog had a darker hue and an ominous presence. Her first thought was that it was due to the abnormal weather that's been happening recently, but this fog's behavior was very different from the region she was in. It was like the fog was heading straight towards her. She took a few steps to the right and the dog moved with her, the same thing happened when she took a few steps to the left.

Yamato slowly squinted her eyes at the mist and slowly reached for her mace, but when she did it rushed towards her and immediately ingulfed them both. Taken by surprise, Yamato quickly looked around to see if she could even get a glimpse of their attacker, but not before properly securing Luffy under her armpit. All of a sudden, the forest went quiet. So quiet that a pen dropping from a mile away could be clearly heard. That's when mysterious person came from the mist ahead of them. He had a muscular build, was very tall, and long white hair. His face was hidden and he was wearing a white and black two-toned kimono. As he slowly made his way towards Yamato he slowly lifted his head, revealing his blood red eyes, before releasing Conqueror's Haki. It made Yamato hold her breath as she got down on one knee. "You don't know the chaos you've unleashed onto this world," he said once he reached Yamato, "There will be pirates 10x stronger than Kaido ever was now that he's gone...he was just keep them at bay." He then slowly lifted his hand up and towards Luffy, but Yamato immediately slapped it away with a menacing glare. "Say why you will, but you won't lay a finger on Luffy!" She shouted, "He will be Pirate King! And as his close friend, I'll do whatever it takes to make it so!!!"

The stranger looks at the hand Yamato slapped for a good 4 seconds before putting it at his side and starred daggers at her before saying, "You have been warned. That boy will be the cause of the end of this era and future generations." Yamato didn't recognize it until now, but the way this stranger was looking at her resembled the glare she would often receive from her father. But in that moment, the fog swirled around the stranger before both he and the fog dissipated and the sounds of the forest resumed once more. She sat there, trying to comprehend what she just saw. Could that man be a devil fruit user? If so, then what was his goal? Surely it wasn't to retrieve Luffy, or else he would've succeeded. His Conqueror's Haki alone was enough to forcer her down on one knee. And to think that Luffy's power couldn't be topped.

But what really bothered her is what he said. There are others, stronger than Kaido ever was. If what he said was true, then Luffy has aomg way to go before he could become Pirate King. Then again, not even Kaido or Big Mom was able to stop him, so she can count on him to never give up. That's when it hit her. During that situation she had vowed that she would help Luffy become Pirate King. It wasn't a direct vow, but she swore that she would help him. This conflicts with her decision to stay and help Momonosuke watch over Wano. And that's not the only problem she's currently facing. When the stranger tried to take Luffy from her she felt rage, but it was unlike any she felt before. This time, she had yearned to strike him with her mace, which was very unlike her. Sure, Luffy was a very close friend, but for her to get so angry that she would hurt an unarmed stranger. She was snapped out of her trance when she heard fireworks go off in the distance. "Right! the festival!" She said before racing off.
