Chapter 6

{*The kindness of Humans*}

Noah woke up feeling the sensation of someone looking at him. When he opened his eyes he saw Rhys bending down watching him. "Oh, you're awake. Remember you promise to take us out when the sun rises."

"I didn't make that promise but okay." Noah yawned.

"I have one more important thing to tell you. Remember to let the other Daemos eat ice cream as well. It's important for our research." Rhys informed.

"That's an excuse for you to get more ice cream isn't it?" Noah asked only for Rhys eyes to sparkle as he answered. "Absolutely." Noah turned not facing Rhys. "Sure, just don't keep waking me up."

"Don't forget," Rhys said leaving.

2:18 am

Noah woke up to the sound of punching. Opening his eyes he saw Leif punching his phone. "..Literally, why are you doing that?" Noah asked.

"Trying to get the Leif in your magic slab out here, to show him who's superior!" Leif said before going back to punching the phone.

"I will send you back to Daemos if you keep this up," Noah mumbled. "Stop hitting my phone!"

"Make me," Leif said. Noah then grabbed his phone and hid them in his sweatpants. "Um..what was that supposed to do?"

"Respect my boundaries?" Noah said hoping Leif wouldn't do anything bizarre.

"I respect nothing!" Leif said grabbing Noah's pants.

"WOAH! OKAY, I'M UP!" Noah said getting off the bed.

Noah then walked to the living room and made himself some food.

3:07 am

Noah was now sitting on the couch reading a book called 'The Maple Leaf'. He was slightly dozing off when he saw Noi lying closely next to him on the couch. "..Hi?" Noah said curiously.

"Do you think humans will think I'm a threat?" Noi asked.

"..Do you want them to?" Noah asked.
"No, not unless they're a threat."

"Then most likely not, you're very adorable," Noah answered.

5:13 am

Noah was awake, he had been awake ever since the encounter with Noi and made sure that Ava had gotten up for work and ate before she left, trying not to fall asleep but was failing as he slipped into a deep slumber.

In the dream Noah found himself standing in Deamos, surrounded by the glow of mystical energies. His reflection revealed his majestic horns crowning his head, symbols of his connection to Deamos pulsing through him.

As Noah navigated this dreamscape, he discovered the powers he had. With a mere thought, he conjured shimmering illusions and manipulated elements at his whim. The horns on his head echoed with the energy, acting as conduits for the enchantments that flowed through him.

The inhabitants of Daemos hailed him as a guardian, a chosen one destined to wield the power source of the world. The dream unveiled a sense of destiny and purpose, leaving Noah with a lingering feeling that beyond the veil of his waking world, Deamos awaited, a world where his powers and horns were not just a figment of his imagination but a tangled reality.
