Chapter 2

3rd Person P.O.V

Gow was nervous... how was she to tell Sonic what she did for him? Much less confess her feelings... She was internally freaking out as she walked to his house. Usually, she'd teleport, but she can't exactly do that right now, can she?

Good thing she remembers the way to his house, otherwise this would be a problem. She took a deep breath the second she got to his doorstep and knocked. Sonic did, in fact, answer the door. "Oh, hey Gow! How's it going?" He laughs at his own words. "'How is it going'... hehe. But really, can we talk? I haven't gotten the chance to talk to you in a while, and-" "Of course! I didn't come for no REASON, did I?" "Well, you did that last time-" "Doesn't matter! Can I come in?" The blue hedgehog rolled his eyes playfully and stepped out of the way to let her in.

Gow was a little surprised to see Tails inside, she also hadn't talked to him in a while. So when Tails saw her, he grinned. "Gow!" He jumped up and went to her to give her a hug which she immediately returned. "Hey, Tails! How've you been?" He giggled. "Great... thanks." He chuckled after that.

Sonic cleared his throat and Tails started to walk out. "I-I need to go! So uh- cya!" He let out yet another short chuckle and headed off and Sonic closed the door behind him. "So uh... I wanted to hang out with you ALONE today... if that's alright with you?" Gow nods. "O-Ok." She giggled.

Sonic was confused about her stutter since she didn't usually do that, but nonetheless, he didn't question it since he just wanted to spend time with his... friend.

Yeah... that's what she was. A 'friend'...

Ok, admittedly, he's started to grow feelings for her, but she's a goddess! He can't love her! Well... she's not a goddess anyMORE, but it's not like HE knows that.

Sonic brushed it off and led Gow into the living room where both of them sat down on the couch, a few feet apart but their hands were nearly touching. "So, do you wanna watch something?" Sonic asked with a nervous grin on his face, glancing away from Gow for a moment, "Or-or we could play a board game?" "Both sound great!!" The wolf replied nervously, her ears twitching as a faint blush stayed on her face.

The blue hedgehog stared at her for a second, tilling his head to the side. "Oookkkk?" Sonic said, sounding slightly confused before he started to rummage through some games and movies. Gow groaned quietly and hid her face in her hands, silently screaming at herself. Why do I have to be such an idiot sometimes?! The wolf peaked out from behind her hands and watched Sonic quietly.

She quickly shook her head and looked away from him, placing her hands on her lap and kicking her legs a small bit. She's never been this flustered around him! Her heart was beating out of her chest and a bit of sweat formed on her forehead. "AH-HA!!" Sonic exclaimed, snapped Gow out of her small trance. "Huh?" She asked while looked back towards the blue hedgehog, a video game in his hand.

"What's that?" Gow asked, trying to avoid eye contact with the other and smiling to herself. "It's just an odd game Tails bought for Christmas that I never played." Sonic responded with a calm and relaxed tone. The wolf's eyes lit up slightly and she leaned forward as 'her other pair' talked. "I was thinking you and I could play it... If that's ok with you, Gow." "Of course!"

Gow was really nervous if you couldn't tell. She wanted to tell him how she felt, but didn't know how to say it. "But, um- Hey, Sonic?" She's started, a nervous grin on her face.

Sonic looked over at his 'friend'. "Yeah?" "I um... I-I- I..." She couldn't do it! She bailed out... "I-I really like your shoes!" "My... shoes?" "Yeah..! The buckles look EXTRA shiny!" Sonic gave her a weird look. "Um... thanks..?" He chuckled awkwardly as Gow looked away in embarrassment. 'I like your SHOES'?! Who SAYS that?! 'Your buckles are extra shiny'- That's so STUPID! She mentally scolded herself for failing to confess to the one she loves.

Gow mentally sighed. Well... I couldn't do this before, but- ...I wish I wasn't so flustered around him. Maybe Savage will hear this if there isn't enough chaos in his head... maybe I should've warned him that he'd hear voices? Eh, it's fine. He can deal with it... right? Nah I'm sure he can.

As Gow was thinking more and more about what Savage could experience, a terrifying thought crossed her mind. What if PAIMON shows up?! He can't deal with that, can he?! Oh nonono, I need to find him, but- Wait, I left my watch with him! He can just try to CALL Diya or Chaos, right? RIGHT?!?

Gow's P.O.V

I was panicking. It must've been shown on my face because Sonic looked at me with concerned eyes. He quickly grabbed my hand and I could feel a faint blush appear on my face and my ears felt warm. "Gow... are you alright?" I looked at him and gave him a nervous smile with an awkward chuckle.

"Yep..! Everything's fine..!" I awkwardly chuckled again and he gave me a concerned look. "Gow, if something's wrong, you can always tell me, y'know?" I sighed, "I know... but nothing's wrong. Really."

The hedgehog raised his and shook his head at me. "You know I know when you lie, so why even try?" He said sternly. It's like a sixth sense of his or something. He somehow always knows when I'm lying. Like a psychic or something. I took deep breaths. "...It's nothing much. Just anxiety attack." "Why..?" He asked, his gaze softening. "No...reason." My ears lowered.

Sonic sighed and hugged me. "I'm always here for you... you know that." I smiled and hugged him back, mentally giggling at the situation. What was I panicking about again? Savage? Meh, he'll be FINE...I'm with Sonic, that's all that matters right now. The hug was gently broken and we stared into each other's eyes for what felt like forever. My cheeks began to feel sore with how much I was smiling, making me giggle softly. I looked up at Sonic again and started to lean forward.

The romantic moment was cut short though and Sonic handed me a game controller. "So- uh... Still up for that game?" He asked with a friendly grin. I blushed again but slowly grabbed the controller, our hands touching each other, making my face turn red. I took it out of Sonic's hand and looked at the ground with a smile. "Sure." I answered him gently. He smiled back at me and gave a thumbs up, everything was perfect...
