"Nara! You can't do this!" Sunghoon's voice echoes through the open space, the boy wildly thrashing against the hands that held him in place. Nara squeezes her eyes shut as she faces the witch in front of her, a single tear rolling down her cheek.

This Land
[A few days later]
Nara sighs as she sits at her desk, the desk that used to be her father's. She frowns as she looks at the papers in front of her, the words melting together. She throws her pen down, leaning back in her chair.
Where are you, little sister? Jay asks, sounding as though he were out of breath. Nara pinches the bridge of her nose, squeezing her eyes shut. Normally, she would have sassed him for calling her his 'little' sister but now she was just too exhausted.
In the office. She responds, tapping her finger on the top of the wooden table. She refused to call it 'her' desk, because it wasn't. This would never be her desk, it would always belong to her father.
Keep your ears peeled. Jay says, sounding amused. Nara frowns as she looks up from her desk, focusing on the sounds around her. It isn't long before she hears the sound of children screaming, the familiar sound of teeth gnashing following soon after. Nara is on her feet in seconds, running outside in seconds. She stands in front of the Pack House, scanning the trees that stood at her side. The world quiets as Nara focuses on the sound of quick feet running towards her, the smell of fear filling her senses. She freezes as she watches two small kids bursts through the treeline, their eyes wild as they look for someone to help them.
Violet and Lane Asper were two regular troublemakers in the pack, the only other twins in the pack. Violet was sweet enough, always wanting Nara to train her to fight so that she could win against her brother. Lane was quieter but he was always near his sister, joining in on whatever trouble that Violet was causing. The pair of them find Nara, still standing at the front of the pack house.
"Alpha Nara!" Violet whines as they sprint towards her, Lane's eyes filled with tears. Nara reaches her arms out, Lane jumping at her. She holds the boy close to her, Violet bolting to hide behind the Alpha's legs. Nara glares at the two wolves that come racing out of the woods, putting a protective hand on Violet's head.
"I have told you two not to tease these babies, haven't I?" Nara calls as Jay and Jake shift, both boys grinning with pride.
"They didn't tell you what they were doing, we are innocent." Jake says, putting both of his hands up in a show of innocence. Nara turns to Lane, the small boy still curled in her arms.
"Lane, what did you two do this time?" She asks, Lane glancing at his sister. Violet turns, trying to make a run for it. Nara chuckles as she hooks a finger in the girls collar, stopping her in her tracks. She sets Lane down, the boy fidgeting slightly as Nara kneels down in front of them.
